Can we not equate removing a mode where you put 14-16 year old girls in sexually compromising position for the sake of tittilation with no greater artistic merit to a quote about basic human rights?
Look man I like a little fan-service as much as the next guy but let's at least keep it away from minors and not pretend there's anything defensible about this given the content and characters involved.
It's the same mode that was in all the previous games. Anyone who had played those games and enjoyed those games know it was harmless , the franchise had no problem with it on any platform before this point.
I don't even like or use this mode.. yet i don't like seeing something removed like this.
It's SIE doing that. SIEJA (Japan and Asia) isn't doing at all so yeah, not the entire company.
I don't think it's censorship, but I also think that if they have the gumption to approve it in Japan then they should do so everywhere else.
I doubt Neil Gaiman was thinking about games promoting sexual assault on underage girls.

This is EXACTLY what I mean and how I feel. I don't care that it's a "molestation simulator" as people are claiming. Let's be real, it's a mode where lonely dudes can hear "cute girls" moan and make noises. It's totally weird but censorship as a whole is wrong and a VERY slippery slope. I don't like seeing Sony go this route again.
That's weird then, I mean if the content is deemed inappropriate it should have been removed from all the games. Wonder what has changed / happened behind the scenes.
I tried out that mode in PBS, its pretty boring actually.

Damn, I didn't think Sony would be the one censoring these Japanese games. Couldn't care less given what this mode sounds like, but this is a role reversal. If Nintendo releases the next Fire Emblem uncensored, I'm going to laugh my butt off.

There is no slippery slope in removing a mode that is wholly and entirely interactive soft-core porn exclusively featuring underage girls from a game when that mode has no greater artistic or social merit.

It is boring .. it's not even a fun mode or something that last long.
It's a whole amount of nothing.
But this thing has no problem in other places, was already there fot 4 games ( 2 on vita , 2 on PS4 ) and there was no problem.
Like sony can do what they want , it's their console. I just don't like having a game with cut content on principle.

Personally I don't care about the mode but I can't support the idea that it's ok to start cutting content because some people don't like it,I find it far more reasonable for the content to be in the game and if you don't like it just ignore it the way I have done in the past games.

Fire Emblem compared to Intimacy mode is night and day. Intimacy mode ...well I was gonna link a video but I honestly think I'd get banned for it. It's LITERALLY just a posing and groping simulation as a girl stands there and jiggles around.
IT IS A MODE WHERE YOU JUST GROPE UNDERAGE GIRLS. That is literally all the mode is.

Well, duh. They're the platform holder, they can decide whether to allow it or not, but I find it a bit hypocritical to allow it on certain regions but not others due to fears of backslash (because this what it is, most probably).
In any case nothing of value was lost. I like XSeed most of the time but those pervy games turn me off from supporting them more. It also speaks volumes about the decline of Japan as a game's development country. 15 or even 10 years ago they could have focused in bringing half a dozen of more interesting titles than this.

Yeah, and yet this is in the Asian and Japanese versions without any problem. They're not doing that for all their regions, they're picking up their cake as well in regions where this won't be a controversy.
I have never defended this mode existence. I don't care if you're happy that it is cut , since you weren't going to play the game anyway.
They allowed the same mode in every other localized game in the series for years, and similar ones in other games that released less than 6 months ago. There's clearly some sort of new internal policy, which is why people are wondering about it.
