Performance looks on point but the pricing is absolutely fucked. I just want to play the game, and there's no way to purchase it for under 80€.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it after a long deliberation. I still have GCU which made it $60 though. Still had to consider it because I can see this being on sell for Black Friday, though it will be interesting to see if that includes the Switch version.

I'm tempted to get this, but I have to admit I'm still rather nonplussed at how much non-dogfighting there is in the game. When I hear "StarFox" I think of charing into battles with barrel rolls and bombs, not jinxing left and right and shooting at enemies while stationary. Anyone else feel that way?

Pretty much my thoughts. This looks rather boring.

My phisical copy has shipped. I'm tempted to get the store exclusive ships because you can't get them digitally.

The ships have hover mode and flight mode as far as I know.

One of the best looking game on Switch. Can't wait for it, played a demo in July and it's really good.

I'll probably wait for a discount soon after launch or early next year, since it's still an Ubisoft game at core.

As a sucker for open world space games I am definitely going to buy this.... But I can't decide between Xbox One X and Switch. One X should be a no brainer since I love exploring beautiful space games, but I really love the StarFox integration TT.TT

So if you want to play this on Switch with the Star Fox content, what is the cheapest way of doing so? Is it buying it digital for like 60?

Looks cool but I'm not supporting retail releases that require a download to play.

That's par for the course with Ubisoft games, they look nice and have interesting concept but their gameplay leaves a lot to be desired.

I am only getting this game simply because of Star Fox and will be playing it from start to end as Fox and for any content that involves Fox and his crew, I don't give a shit for anything involving the Starlink crew.

I think the game looks good, and the approach looks like some form of typical Ubisoft sandbox but presented in a friendlier way, which can guarantee durability despite the toys-to-life concept. Lets see reviews, but if opinions are favorable and portable performance is adequate i´m pretty inclined to buy it, mainly because i love sci-fi and space games.

I get the feeling the switch version will influence what further content they do with starlink. Whether its DLC or a sequel.

If the toys to life part flops especially, (it probably will) you can still play the digital game since it includes all the starter pack content.

If this has a digital release and all the toy content is available in-game without a purchase, I'm getting this digitally.

I kinda feel bad for them because I don't think the toys to life aspect will do it any favours at retail. The game itself looks like it has a lot of love and effort poured in and especially the Star Fox part looks very high-quality for what is essentially a guest-appearance. I hope I am wrong but there's quite a few aspects that work against it.

If you have GCU still you can get the Physical version for $60 with the Starfox toys and if you preordered they even threw in an extra pilot or something.

I'm so excited for this. Best Buy's GCU helped a bit with the physical price since all the toys are also 20% off with it. I'm getting the game for sure, but if the reviews are decent enough, I'll be adding a few more ships for day one.

Yeah the 60 dollar base digital version comes with way more stuff (about 75% of the ships/pilots/weapons) than the physical starter pack as well.

Is the only option for physical cart of the game to also buy the started pack with the toys? No game only physical with digital ships?

Me thinking about buying a switch before the rumored hardware revision:

Zelda? I'll just play the Wii U disc version in HD on Emulator.
Zelda DLC? I can wait
Mario? Maybe i can wait
Metroid? I can still wait

Star Fox though? With good gameplay, cutscenes, and a full campaign?

Have no idea how some of you managed to have it discounted with GCU. Tried purchasing twice back in june and was told GCU wouldn't deduct from full retail price on this particular game. Now that my GCU is expired, my only option is full price

How much are the switch digital versions? I've found what the two versions come with but I can't find a price tag for either of them.
