I'd never known about the Hogan thing until I read about it online
It was a fun replacement at the time, but the Hogan scene is better.

This for me (Grant Morrison's Animal Man for people wondering). I absolutely love the final issue of this run. I love that this was his first big gig and he went this way with it.
Oh and these too. The Beginner's Guide is something everyone should play through.

Though technically the entirety of F for Fake (1973) is a fourth-wall break, so in terms of 'greatest' that entire movie should win by default really.

I recently saw this one about Alien's break. It's not that enjoyable, but pretty clever.

Personally, I would argue that episode doesn't break the fourth wall. They just enter a parallel dimension where Supernatural is a TV show. But maybe that's splitting hairs. In any event, I enjoyed that episode.
On the other hand, we do have this:
