Jonneh and his wonderful speaking voice take us through Dark Souls' most infamous area on Switch, showing very little in the way of frame drops. Both docked and undocked footage.
OT: It drives me mad seeing people fat roll, especially when trying to get somewhere fast!
But yeah, it looks fine, as expected.
I was unfortunatly moving house during the Network Test and didn't get a chance to play. Audio seems on par with my memory of the original game but I'll be comparing them fairly soonLookin' good.
Jonneh did you play the Switch beta? Has the audio been improved? The compression was HORRIBLE and I and others really need to know if this is also the case in the final game.
You can remap Roll and Action but no matter what B is confirm in menusQuestion for Jonneh , in the video you mention that it's weird having A and B reversed in this game. Did you look into the options menu to try and reconfigure the inputs? I wanna make sure that's possible.

Sigh. It is somewhat crazy that I am considering buying this again after 100%'ing Remastered on PC in late May.
Haha... same here (PS3, PtDE PC, Remastered PC, and potentially this). We Souls fans are a crazy bunch. If I end up purchasing this (pls have better audio quality in the final game....PLEASE), it'll be my fourth time buying DS1.
I think you would notice if it had the Beta audio even if you didn't play the Beta. All the audio sounded like it was being run through a tin canI was unfortunatly moving house during the Network Test and didn't get a chance to play. 2 could run, not likely for 3 though. Doubt any of them will come though, it took an extra 6 months for w/e reason to get this game out and it might not sell as what they expected based on the initial remaster run. Can't wait to play next week, never played dark souls before
I just hope it doesn't end here and switch gets 2 and 3 also
If it doesn't sell good it will be their own fault not because people on switch didn't want it2 could run, not likely for 3 though. Still grey!Wait, really? In the network test they had the options there, they were just greyed out for some reason:
Are those options still greyed out for you?
The network test is basically the most damaging thing to this ports reputation which is unfortunate because it rolled back every god aspect of the game due to the build's bad audio and muddled visuals when the other builds were just fine.
It just looked somehow worse than what I saw in gameplay videos before it launched for some reason. What was wrong with the visuals in the network test? The game looked great to me.
On day 1 it ran pretty choppy but after that it was very smooth.

i don't like bring hyperbolic but this is the absolute worst thing everYou can remap Roll and Action but no matter what B is confirm in menus
I'm just... No. This can't be true. I don't mean that dramatically, I'm serious- it simply can't be true.i don't like bring hyperbolic but this is the absolute worst thing ever
A short direct-feed clip if the final game. To those who played the beta, does the audio sound any better? It sounds improved to me, but I'm honestly not really sure.

Why would it be there as greyed out option in the menu? Day 1 patch? It's gotta be for fucking something, for god's sake.
This simply cannot be.
Can't watch it myself but I wonder if the frame pacing issues are fixed? It was horrible in the beta.

You are definitely on a different level! LOL This will be #4 for me if I pull the trigger... which is seeming more and more likely as each day, hour, and minute passes.I have the base game on ps3, physical base game on 360 + the Games on Demand digital version, PTDE PC. Remastered on PS4/PC/Xbox One.
I intended on just buying Remastered on the Switch (I want portable Dark Souls dang it!!) but as it got delayed, I didn't want to miss out on the Remastered goodness. Originally was going to just get it on the Xbox One, but I enjoyed it so much I wound up getting it on pc and PS4 (and got the Remastered hardcover book too!!).
Without going frame-by-frame, it does looks a bit better to my eyes. There's definitely still some jitteriness but it looks to be more inline with say Bloodborne rather than what I saw in the network test. Can't watch it myself but I wonder if the frame pacing issues are fixed?
