Also, the 1st gif shows it forming and it's already open in the 2nd gif. And we know it moves because it eats that guy later in the teaser.
I was in it for the most part but that last shot of Aladdin looked like it came from a DTV movie.
One one hand I don't think Guy Ritchie is a particularly talented director.
On the other hand I love Disney's Aladdin and think that they have a talented acting cast.

It's quite obvious that the audio was overlaid onto a different scene. I guarantee that the audio doesn't play during that scene during the film.
That and the cave can clearly move its mouth if it can eat people

Yeah the animated version makes it seem like the cave is something hidden and will only appear if you're looking for it but the live-action version looks like a face that has been carved in a mountain that could be seen from a mile away. Not digging that at all.
They didn't show anything. Other than telling people who don't follow movie news that an Aladdin remake is coming out, this teaser is a bunch of nothing.

I mean it's a trailer so it very well could be talking but the scene of them walking up to the head and the eyes lighting up make for a better trailer shot as the camera swoops in.

I'm not excited about this after how badly Beauty and the Beast went, but I can't call this bad. I can't it anything because....this showed nothing. Really putting the "teaser" in teaser trailer.

Ah, makes sense I guess. Kinda weird having the genie be top billing here tho.
The eyes and mouth are lighting up like someone put on the light inside while they are approaching it. No growing out of the sand, nothing. It looks ass.
The Genie had top billing in the original, too; almost all of the marketing was centered on him. Hell, I thought "Aladdin" was the Genie's name when I first saw the previews.
Well that was definitely a real teaser. I find it hard to get excited for these live action remakes, even when it's for my favorite Disney movie. Guy Ritchie directing isn't helping matters either. Think I'd rather rewatch the original than seeing this.
... the Middle East has its own vocalist traditions and plenty of amazing vocal talent. I'm American and I know this. Should get out of your bubble more, and probably shouldn't double/triple down on preconceived notions.
