Gal Metal "World Tour" edition is $39.99.
Comes with DLC for the game as described in the product description:
  • The 'world Tour' Edition includes the base game as well as the 'encore' DLC Pack, which adds 5 new characters, each their own unique story and Song
  • Jam your way - a new spin on traditional music gameplay, goal metal eschews predetermined musical notes and lets the player create their own drum lines based on over a dozen Beats
  • Unique storytelling - divided up into episodes ending in climactic concerts, the lighthearted story unfolds in animated manga panels and text messages brimming with personality
  • Be an after-school Specialist - in between performances to take on the pesky aliens, you'll improve skills and friendships doing part-time jobs, hanging out with friends, and jamming in the Club room
  • Show your true mettle - while the basic gameplay of gal metal is simple to learn, players who master the Beats can earn millions of points by creating complex performances

Oh it includes dlc, price doesn't seem bad either.

Guess I'll pick it up.

Probably won't play it for a while, but I'll probably get it day one for the Toshinao Aoki art. Well and cause Tak Fuji.

Really interested in this game! The promotional video for Japan is so much fun. I don't know whether I can handle it or not. (I don't play drum...)

How is the game? Looks fun
Yeah I'd love some impressions.
The game itself is fun. Music is mostly original or rock renditions of public domain musics and it's good overall. For a while I was too into getting the rhythm of the songs down, and because the points system is more towards improvising your combos, I was encouraged to go my own beat and try out different rhythm combos. If I could compare it to something I'd compare it to the musical equivalent of Tony Hawk tricks. I'd say 90% of the time the motion works out for me. If you want to know what you're in for there's actually a demo of the game in the Japanese eShop if you're willing to search.

Can't read the story but it's all wacky and the gist of it is rock music was in a human space probe and an alien race finds it and subsequently dies off because they can't stop head banging to the music and swear revenge.

Now let's just appreciate Tak Fuji

can you use just the buttons? Anyways, the game is cheap at least oh and can you use the Taiko frumstick Joy con acessory that are used for Taiko?
If I remember correctly there's a button mode and a touchscreen mode for handheld. Taiko Drums won't work probably since this is simulating multiple drums and cymbals.
