God only knows. It's pretty ridiculous. The game went on sale 15 hours ago now and the developer notified them immediately.
How would you know it doesn't hinder gameplay feel from watching a video?Hmm, so like... is it possible to be of the camp that feels like it is a damn shame it is not 60fps but ALSO not really feel like it looks that bad at 30 on Switch? I mean, it doesn't look busted or fucked up. It doesn't look like it hinders gameplay feel. (Just an estimation...)

They added the upgrade? Weird, mine still has full MSRP even though i bought it day 1 on 360.Paid the $5 to upgrade my PC version, but it wants another $5 now. Uhhhhh what?
Jesus. What an incredibly condescending and poorly thought out opinion.
2D is not "retro". Mark of the Ninja and VVVVVV are not the same because you could list both of them as examples in the same Wikipedia article. 2D serves a very specific purpose, where you present things through a very specific perspective, to show the audience very specific things. There are inherent limitations to 3D. You can't look both ahead and behind at the same time, for instance. If you think new games should be 3D, just because, then frankly you don't even understand the purpose of 2D or 3D, and that essentially renders your entire bog standard hot take meaningless.
Seems perfectly fine to me, to be honest. But then I don't think stealth games absolutely require 60fps and super-twitchy reflexes, either. Seriously tempted to get it now and play it tonight.Hmm, so like... is it possible to be of the camp that feels like it is a damn shame it is not 60fps but ALSO not really feel like it looks that bad at 30 on Switch? I understand the sentiment. It's almost cartoonish enough to remind me of Kim Possible's type of stylized action, but then the brief bits of blood and stabby pokey stuff disrupts the atmosphere. I don't mind it myself but I can see why it might be jarring.I assume there's no way to turn off the blood, right?
I want to play this, but I can't deal with that blood. Yes I know it's super-fake-looking, it doesn't matter. <_<

I just came in to say I've played for about 2 hours on the Switch and it felt great to me - fits the platform well and is enjoyable both docked and handheld. Honestly didn't even realise the framerate wasn't 60. Seems to play fine at 30 to me. I thought the price was a bit hefty though, it's really annoying you pay a premium to play on the Switch.
MS is taking their sweet time putting it up.How can I tell if I got the Xbox one discount? Does it only show up on the systems store.
Oof. Just tried it in docked mode and it feels worse than in portable. At least in portable it's a consistent 30fps, but in docked it feels like an unlocked framerate that bounces all around between 30 and 60. It's pretty jittery and unpleasant compared to every other version of this game. Very unfortunate.
I don't regret buying it, but it is definitely disappointing when it comes to performance.
Played in handheld mode on Switch. Runs perfectly fine. Can't tell if it's 30 fps or 60 fps. It's a stealth game...

I honestly hate how this is becoming the new normal for indie ports on Switch. This is unfortunate, for sure.
Everyone should blow up KLEI twitter a la Dead Cells. Maybe they can rectify it.
30 FPS saves me money and I really wanted to play it.
Inexcusable for a game that looks like that.
It's $20 everywhere. There were some loyalty discounts on PC and XB1 if you owned the original game and I think there was a pre-order discount as well on at least one store, but the base price is the same everywhere.

The movement would feel like ass at 30fps.
One of my favorite games ever, but I could never play this at 30fps. Shame.
Handheld mode is pretty smooth despite being 30fps, but docked is choppy as hell.
It has HD Rumble. That and no HD Rumble are the things that will make me avoid the Switch version until it get patched.

It's been that way from the start, honestly. Shoddy ports abound on the Switch, and people seem to think it's fine. I stopped buying indie games on Switch because them being kinda crappy ports feels like it's become the norm.

I played the introduction level. I don't think the vibration is HD rumble. It seems like the vibration only happens when guards are shooting at you. I wish the sound circles (when moving around) where mediated through HD rumble as well.
Thats a shame, MOTN is one of the only games I have ever 100% completed.
Jesus.

I like retro 2D games but I don't want to pay 20 € for a 2D game in 2018.
Most 2D games aren't even good compared to the retro stuff. They're mostly terrible. I've played a lot of them during the last years .... there are way too many bad 2D indie games right now.
