I LOVE the Mario Kart series but I have not, nor have I ever, understood how to properly play or be good at Super Mario Kart. I'm trying to play through it on my SNES Classic and it's borderline tortuous.

DKC1 ranked higher than DKC2? I'm pretty sure that's illegal in most countries, and you could be put to death for that in certain Middle Eastern countries.
Don't drift, don't use the brake, only on gas and off gas, and use lightweights like koopa.I LOVE the Mario Kart series but I have not, nor have I ever, understood how to properly play or be good at Super Mario Kart. I'm trying to play through it on my SNES Classic and it's borderline tortuous.
I don't condone top 25 SNES games lists, and don't approve of top 10 lists, that snub Tetris Attack.
"It looks just like a cartoon" was the mid-90s version of "it looks just like a movie," and Earthworm Jim 1&2 hit that aesthetic better than most games that tried. I agree that they don't play very well at all, but their graphics were a huge deal at the time.I agree that Earthworm Jim is pretty bad. I've never understood the love. Those levels are horribly frustrating in terms of design.

Well, at least they didn't put any other fighting game above Street Fighter II Turbo.
You have terrible taste, my friend. Killer Instinct, while technically impressive, was underwhelming on the SNES if you had any experience with the arcade version. Also, KI is a pretty gimmicky and shallow fighting game. The series remained that way until 2013. Go ahead and try enjoying the rereleases of KI and KI2 on Xbox One. Try and watch your nostalgia melt away.
Hyper Fighting, on the other hand, is arguably the greatest fighting game of all time. The SNES port, while not arcade perfect, was extremely faithful. The game is still as fun to play as ever too.
SFII Turbo is a top 5 SNES game, any genre. You are entitled to your opinion but it is a terrible one.
Alpha 2 was better than SF Hyper Fighting. I've played quite a bit of KI and KI 2 on the One and I still love both of those games. Question is why are you so triggered because I think Killer Instinct is better than that overhyped trash Street Fighter 2?
Alpha 2 was a hot mess on the SNES. You can make an argument for the arcade version being better than Hyper Fighting, but not the SNES versions.
That last sentence shows how hurt you is tho. GOOD DAY, UNKIND SIR.

Anyway, you have been reported for personally attacking my opinion on the subject matter
why is it even on the list when you can play the arcade version? why wouldn't i just play ST instead? why would i hook up a SNES just to play a compromised version of a fighting game that's available in an arcade-perfect form on every mainstream modern console...
Funny you should say this, I just got a Super NT. I own zero SNES games right now, but I have a Super Famicom version of SFII Turbo that should be arriving today. I also have an original SFC Hori Fighting Commander. I don't plan on buying any other games.
Mind you, I own the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection on not one, but two platforms. I prefer to play fighting games on my arcade stick too.
I also already own the SNES version via the SNES Classic.
THE GAME IS THAT DAMN GOOD, YO.
More like the ordering is garbage as opposed to the the content of the remainder of the list. FF6 would be in my personal top 10
For example as the OP correctly pointed out Mortal Kombat 1. It's SHIT compared to 2 and even 3 and the SNES port is horrendous so no that should have been anywhere near the top 60.
You're kidding, right? I was expecting really interesting, out-there, left of field choices. Most of what's on that list is in gaming's canon to some extent.
Dorkly's Top 25 Greatest SNES games is quite possibly the worst Top SNES List I've ever seen.
After #14 the list is alright, but... before that?
They have Earthworm Jim 2 and Mortal Kombat 1 in a top list. Mortal Kombat ONE!
They also put Contra 3 and Earthbound below Earthworm Jim 2. Think about that, EJ2 is more interesting to them than Contra 3 and Earthbound. And no, Earthworm Jim was never a great game, much less the sequel. It had great graphics, and animation, but the gameplay, controls, and hit detection were bad. Not to mention the mandatory minigames between levels, and that awful submarine level.
Other baffling areyoukiddingme choices:
-Kirby 3 made the list but not Super Star.
-Secret of Mana is #20, Mortal Kombat 1 is # 17.
-Donkey Kong Country 2 is lesser good than DKC1
