No way! Green Lantern is small potatoes to me compared to Suicide Squad.

Squad would be a perfect fit for Gunn, I actually like this more than my suggestion of Green Lantern Corps. I really hope this is true.
I'm at work just cackling at this. This is too funny. Gunn will make an actually interesting and functional SS movie.
This is great. He can fix Leto Joker and make a good movie at the same time. His humor and style are perfect for this.

Lol what in the world. I mean good for James and I'm sure he'll make a cool movie. It's just this news is so weird. Recasting is...fine but does that mean it's elseworld? No Viola Davis as Waller would be fucking dumb. I get wanting your own take on material, but potentially no Margot and Viola is a strange move.

If this thing is happening, I just hope it ain't GotG with a Suicide Squad skin over it. Even if I'm not a big fan of Gunn, the guy isn't so one note in his writing that it has to be that.
Well, I was expecting WB to grab Gunn eventually, but never crossed my mind it would be to do Suicide Squad 2.....I'm In, I guess, not really a fan of his GOTG movies but I like his previous work, and he's clearly a competent guy. Let's see how this goes..

I can see them slotting this into the summer 2020 position. I mean if you assume films like May of next year.
What else is 2020, I know Birds of Prey... felt like something else recently.
Exactly this for me as well. Was expecting him to do the GLC movie. But on second thought, it might have been too reminiscent of GotG.

Eh. The last thing I want this turning into GOTG 2. Let him direct but not write. In generally don't care for him to be honest.
The big reason I liked SS was because of the characters they used and the actors for them. Lose them and I really have no interest in a sequel. They're starting at square one again to get my attention and money. I imagine that's the case for a lot of people that went to see the film for Robbie's Harley and Will Smith's Deadshot. The actors and the how diverse that cast was, was one of the main factors that film did as well as it did. If Gunn is going to come in and very likely do away with all of that for what he wants then I'm on the outs until I see something the pulls me back in. That's even assuming he gets the job.
