I actually reported that post and nothing happened. I have no idea why there are such obvious double standards between console and PC threads.

Thread derail in a thread with a sensitive topic. You would think that would be reason enough. but wait, it is a Valve thread, so nevermind.
I'm usually against corporate acquisitions, but Valve should totally buy GPD and enforce some kind of hardware QA.
It's almost like the mods promise of better moderation were not entirely sincere or something. How strange.
Shadow Raider will decrease in price so fast it's gonna be a tier 3 game in a Humble Bundle by mid 2019.

So we know it's not an issue of mods not being made aware of it, which is the usual response they give.

Honestly, I feel this isn't a question that moderation can solve anyway. There's no rule against stupidity. Just put that user on your ignore list. -
That's the only solution that scales anyway. Reporting half a persons posts is more work and will have less of an effect in producing effective conservation. If enough people ignore-list them, the problem solves itself anyway.
It is thread derail in a sensitive topic. Making this matter about steam curation and how shitty steam is, is derailing the thread.

I agree with you. But sadly, there's a limit of 1000 users that you can block on Resetera, and I already reached it long ago.
I just had to go to the "EtcetEra" section a couple of times, and read crap like "white people were a mistake", "that's so white people", and similar crap, and I reached the limit quite quickly. :D
More than that, though. The text looks a lot like the codec font as well as some of the icons look very reminiscent of metal gear.
I mean, there's a lot that's annoying with the way era organizes PC and Steam (or lack of steam rip).
There's also a lot lacking when it comes to moderation here, but I also don't think mods should be trigger-happy - that was one of my biggest issues with neogaf. You could get suspended/banned there for completely bs reasons, but because the mods were basically kings there, unless you had 'contacts' you were basically screwed. Mods here try to tip-toe the fine line between being overbearing and irrelevant, and I feel like that's tough to do.

I don't feel it is too much to ask for the stricter rules on thread derailing and console warring to also apply to PC discussions.

I listed two cards from the same game at once yesterday and one needed authorization and the other didn't. It seems kind of spotty for actually working.

Yeah, already have it. Guess there's nothing I need to do. I thought they would add it as a new separate DLC, but it looks like it just "upgrades" the War of the Chosen DLC, as you can't buy it separately.
If everyone is referring to the individual who stated that they wish Steam never became a thing; then I'm really not sure why people are upset about this. The user was permanently banned prior to the reports for another reason. As such, when the reports came in, the issue was already resolved because the user was removed from the community. This really isn't a case of double standards.
You win this time Firaxis. I forgot that the way they packaged WotC was that they basically just cloned the vanilla xcom 2 and build it on top of that so that you could play them both from the same launcher. Only downside is that that also doubles the size of the install. I wish you could install WotC without the vanilla at all, would save about 30gigs of download.

That's wild, but I did wonder how long Obsidian was gonna survive on their own. It was either gonna be Paradox, or one the other handful of big publishers that could easily absorb them.
