I kinda don't get why WB doesn't either spread these out more or just make more than they typically do,
this year is
Gotham by Gaslight - January
Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold - January
Suicide Squad - March
Batman Ninja - April
Death of Superman - August

They haven't released one after August since The Dark Knight Returns pt1 at the end of September in 2012.
not counting the 2 completely separate Adam West Batman animated movies.

They always do 2 early in the year near each other, skip a few months before dropping 1 then have a huge wait until the cycle starts again in January or February.
You also forgot LEGO The Flash
And I do like that they mix it up with out-of-continuity ones...but yeah should spread them out a bit more.

Is this the DC animated OT? I swear I saw another one a few days ago, but cant find it now lol. Oh well...

Anyone have a good list of the Animated DC/Batman movie's chronological order? Like Son of Batman, then Batman vs. Robin, then I think Batman Bad Blood, and so on.... Dont need them all in chronological order, just the recent New 52esc Batman movies, if possible.

Also, is there a release date yet for the Batman The Animated Series Blu-ray? I cant find any additonal information after the initial announcement in October of last year.
It would be
Justice League Flashpoint
Justice League War
Son of Batman
Justice League Throne of Atlantis
Batman vs Robin
Batman Bad Blood
Justice League vs Teen Titans
Justice League Dark

Think only ones he appears in.

whats ETA on Young Justice season 3? slated for next year?
The app is still due at the end of the year

You know all in all, I think a nice rebound year for DCAU

I pretty much enjoyed all the movies that were dropped this year.

To varying degrees.

Getting all 4 movies when they release. I love these things.
Yup.

I've mentioned it in another thread but I wish eventually if the DC service gets these movies, i'd love for them to do series set in the animated movie universe.
Particularly with the flashback Titans team or something that pays of the Batgirl and Donna Troy teases.

I just caught up on Marvel's Spider-Man. Are they going to do a second half of the season? They can't just leave it at that, right?

Yeah believe it's another 20+ episode season.

Also caught the first two episodes of Black Panther's Quest... and well done a bad job establishing his quest in the first two episodes. Seems like will be Avengers Assemble with a bigger focus on Panther and Shuri.

Another big day

Teen Titans go To the Movies releases digitally and Constantine City of Demons is out, which is highly enjoyable.

'Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Movie Announced

batman-vs-tmnt-1158291.jpeg

This spring, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Home Entertainment are teaming up with DC Entertainment and Nickelodeon for Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, an all-new animated movie that unites everyone's favorite turtles with the Caped Crusader for the first time outside of the comics page. Based on the Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics miniseries by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II, the film will see the turtles meeting Batman via a transdimensional encounter, and feature our heroes teaming up to face Batman's deadly rogues gallery.

The film's voice cast features Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Origins) as both Batman and The Joker (making him the first actor to ever take on both roles in one project), Darren Criss (the Emmy winning star of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) as Raphael, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) as Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie) as Donatello, Eric Bauza (The Woody Woodpecker Show) as Leonardo, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Batgirl, Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) as The Penguin, John DiMaggio (Adventure Time) as Mr. Freeze, Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls) as both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) as Bane, and Cas Anvar (The Expanse) as Ra's al Ghul.

Some news to dump here I guess

WB announced the return of DC Showcase shorts (which were really cool and like 10 minute bonus shorts on movies in like 2010/2011)

SgtRock_Still_02.jpg

Inspired by characters and stories from DC's robust portfolio, the all-new series of shorts will be included on upcoming DC Universe Movies releases, with exception of an innovative Batman: Death in the Family long-form animated short, which will anchor a compilation set for distribution in late 2020.

Each of the five shorts – entitled Sgt. Rock, Adam Strange, Death, The Phantom Stranger and Batman: Death in the Family – opens with a new, live-action branding sequence that features a few Easter Eggs specially added for observant fans.

Sgt. Rock is executive produced and directed by Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series) from a script by award-winning comics writers Louise Simonson & Walter Simonson and Tim Sheridan (Reign of the Supermen). The original tale finds battle-weary Sgt. Rock thinking he has seen everything that World War II can dish out. But he is in for the surprise of his life when he is assigned to lead a company consisting of legendary monsters into battle against an unstoppable platoon of Nazi zombies. Karl Urban (Star Trek & Lord of the Rings film franchises) provides the voice of Sgt. Rock. Also voicing characters in Sgt. Rock are Keith Ferguson, William Salyers and Audrey Wasilewski.

Adam Strange is produced and directed by Butch Lukic (Batman Unlimitedfranchise), who also conceived the original story – which is written by J.M. DeMatteis (Constantine: City of Demons). On a rugged asteroid mining colony, few of the toiling workers are aware that their town drunk was ever anything but an interplanetary derelict. But when the miners open a fissure into the home of a horde of deadly alien insects, his true identity is exposed. He is space adventurer Adam Strange, whose heroic backstory is played out in flashbacks as he struggles to save the very people who have scorned him for so long. Charlie Weber (How To Get Away with Murder) provides the voice of Adam Strange, alongside with Roger R. Cross, Kimberly Brooks, Ray Chase and Fred Tatasciore.

Inspired by Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman," Death is produced & directed by Sam Liu (Justice League vs. The Fatal Five) and written by J.M. DeMatteis (Batman: Bad Blood). In the story, Vincent, an artist with unresolved inner demons, meets a mysterious girl who helps him come to terms with his creative legacy … and eventual death. Leonardo Nam (Westworld) provides the voice of Vincent, and Jamie Chung (The Gifted, Big Hero 6) is the voice of Death. The cast includes Darin De Paul, Keith Szarabajka and Kari Wahlgren.

The Phantom Stranger has Bruce Timm (Batman: The Killing Joke) at the helm as executive producer & director, and the short is written by Ernie Altbacker (Teen Titans: The Judas Contract). Set in the 1970s, the short follows young adult Jess as she joins her friends at a party in a dilapidated mansion hosted by the mysterious Seth. When odd things begin to happen to Jess and her friends, the Phantom Stranger intervenes to save her from a dreary fate. Peter Serafinowicz (The Tick) gives voice to The Phantom Stranger, and Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville, Impastor) provides the voice of Seth. The Phantom Stranger also features the voices of Natalie Lander, Grey Griffin and Roger Craig Smith.

More information regarding Batman: Death In The Family will be available in 2020.

All five new DC Showcase shorts credits include Jim Krieg as co-producer, Amy McKenna as producer, and Sam Register as executive producer

Those sound nifty.

I forgot about this thread, and now that I have DCU streaming I ought to reread it.

Too bad they went backward with the Batsuit. Should've brought in the Rebirth suit instead of bringing in the trunks.
