I need to pick up a WR because Galloway is on a bye; who should I burn my waiver priority on:

Demaryius Thomas (not sure how he ended up a FA), Josh Gordon, or Mohamed Sanu.

Also, screw you, Chris Hogan.

And a giant F*** YOU to Amari Cooper.

Finally, Doug Baldwin - you're on my shit list. Are ya injured or not?

Need input from you guys on this dumb situation. I am commissioner of my league, fourth year running. We were just an 8 team league among close friends but voted to expand to 10 for this season.

One of the new guys couldn't make the draft due to a family emergency thing, so his team auto drafted. Then once McKinnon went down, he straight up decided he didnt want the team anymore. I tried to find a replacement but failed.

I left the lineup as the default one coming out of the draft, so McKinnon is in the RB slot. Delanie Walker is still in the TE spot.

Problem is, is that the team has some really great players on it and my league is up in arms about it. Antonio Brown, AJ Green, Melvin Gordon, Cam Newton, as well as a few secondary/depth players. Most of the teams have emailed/texted/called me trying to maneuver a trade for one of those assets but are offering shit because the team has no actual owner.

Most of the league went and met behind my back and decided they all want to do a dispersal draft based on standings, where 9th place gets 1st dibs, 8th gets 2nd, 7th gets 3rd, and so on. 5q of the 9 owners are on board with the idea but I just dont like it at all.

Thoughts?

I'd just keep the team frozen for the whole season

doing a draft of that team going from the worst team gets first dibs to the best team gets last doesn't seem fair at all tbh. waiver priority is one thing but if you messed up your draft, whiffed on waivers/free agents, haven't been setting good line ups, etc. why should you now all of a sudden get a shot at snagging antonio brown or cam newton? it's weird that most of your league agrees with this because the good teams get fucked. all of a sudden last place gets a top tier player for nothing? nah

That is where I am at. The only three that arent on board with this are #1, #2, me at #3, and my wife at #9. Everybody else wants to do it.

I tried explaining that it basically is just four good players and then interchangeable guys who wouldn't really do anything, but their rationale is that the team has two top 10 defenses, two top 5 kickers, and then the guys I listed.

Who the hell is going to get excited about picking up a top 5 kicker. Nobody. And like you said, it rewards the teams for being bad.

As a commish I find the only fair thing to do in this situation is either 1) continue starting the dead team lineup every week, or 2) if you know before the season, play it as an auto team with public rules (ex: start players according to yahoo projected pts, waivers according to Yahoo articles)

A dispersal draft is bullshit. You can't change the rules like that mid season. If they wanted those players they should have drafted them. Now, if there was a solution you could get 100% approval for, go for it! But majority decision on this is grounds for quitting the league.

Edit: ultimately it's unfair but if this is a close friends and family league, you may have to live with it. But personally I would at least say that if I don't pick a player I get 50 FAAB or something instead

Note: I run an auto team in my 14 team league. It has Rodgers, Julio, and a few other good players. I play waivers according to Yahoo articles. No trades are allowed. Sucks if you want Julio Jones but again, should have drafted him...

I desperately need a 3rd QB in one of my leagues, and the only offer I've received so far was OBJ for Russell Wilson and Chris Hogan. I'm trying to get rid of McCoy.

Should I target Clement or Smallwood on waivers this week?

Both are available in my league

Clement is probably worth a higher FAAB bid (I'd say a 20% bid for Smallwood and a 25-30% bid for Clement), but this is going to be a true timeshare- it already was when Ajayi was playing, and it's going to be even moreso now.
If I had to guess, outside of PPR leagues (where Darren Sproles will likely be worth a FLEX start), none of these guys will be startable except as bye week fill-ins or emergency injury situations

That's going to be a nail bitter.

I thought so too but Brees is the man. 5-0 woo!

Now Bree's and Lutz go on Bye -_- Opponent has no one on bye.

Aside from last night, Lutz has been pretty solid for me all year. Is it worth keeping a second K and dropping someone else on my bench for the weekly fill in? I'm not sure who else i'd drop tho tbh. Our league has Zuerlin on available, perhaps I see if i can snag him after waivers clear if he's healthy.

in my work league (yay 1-4) I have first waiver priority (it resets every week) and can't decide if I want to pick up luck or clement. I figure most people would say Clement but I feel like Andrew Luck is starting to creep back into the QB1 group from not playing for so long. Only downside is my current QB is wentz and they have the same bye week (bleh)

Would you guys trade Ingram for Cooks? It's a 1pt ppr league

I have Woods, so wouldn't mind diversifying a little (I own Kamara, though)

Fell to 0-5 in one of my leagues, but to be fair, I was hit with a real whammy of duds

- Aaron Rogers not really playing out of his head

- Chris Hogan as a major bust

- LeVeon Bell as a MAJOR BUST

and basically the rest of my draft picks sucking besides Keenan Allen.

I'm more worried about my other league though. I'm 2-3 with

- CMC
- Kamara
- Rivers
- Goff
- Chris Thompson
- Alshon Jeffrey
- Mike Evans
- Josh Gordon
- Geronimo Allison
- Keke Coutee
- Dede Westbrook
- Njoku
- Browns D
- Matt Bryant
- Goodwin

I don't have the worst luck ever but I am at 625 PF and 648 PA (third highest in my league). I'm wondering if I should stay the course or trade away some pieces. Namely, offload a WR for a RB or something.

I can't even complain about my luck because there's someone in my league who has scored 630 points (third most in my league) but has over 700 PA so he's 0-5

Aaron Jones is sitting on the waiver wire in my league, which surprised me when I booted up the available players list this morning. It seems like he is #1 on the depth chart in Green Bay but with him sharing snaps with Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery is he worth picking up if I have to drop Tevin Coleman or Kenyan Drake to get him? I know Coleman is a #2 and Drake is losing snaps to Frank Gore, so it may be worth it to try.

My first instinct is drop Coleman for Jones. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Clement is available too, but I figure Jones is a better get than him.

Soooo..... That tie I posted about last night? Wasn't really much of a tie.

I lost by 1 passing yard. That's right, I lost by .04 points in a PPR format. FML

Who else is on your roster? I think Jones is a better option ROS than Drake, but both of them are rosterable, so ideally you have another player you can drop for him.

Drake or Coleman are the only ones I feel I'd be ok dropping. Also on my bench are Matt Stafford (I know, but I want to hold on to him through the bye), John Brown, Alshon Jeffery, Lev Bell, and Adrian Peterson. 0.5 PPR. Starters are Russell Wilson, James Conner, Chris Carson, Davante Adams, AJ Green, Travis Kelce, and Julian Edelman.

Im thinking of offering Hyde for McCoy. I have horrible depth on my bench for RB. Anyone want to talk me down from that offer?

Ah ok. Then yeah, you definitely would want to drop one of Coleman or Drake. I would not drop Coleman, since he is such a great FLEX play and valuable handcuff in that Atlanta offense. I like Jones a little more than Drake ROS, but they are pretty comparable on most ROS rankings, so it's really up to you whether you think it is worth dropping one for the other.

I would not do that. Hyde is more valuable than McCoy right now, not to mention that that deal isn't even helping your depth problem at RB anyway. You should look to trade one of your other position players for depth at RB or scour the WW over the next few weeks.

Fair enough. I tried trading Diggs, but no one wants to trade a low-end RB1 for him. I guess it doesn't help I am in first place and no one wants to help out the leader

Traded Ertz for Cook + Kittle in one of my leagues. Feels like I got a good deal considering it's a small downgrade for potentially a huge impact player in Cook if they let him get somewhat healthy. inb4 Ertz goes on a 20 per week rampage

So with Ajayi out of commission I need at least one more RB, possibly 2 since I have 6 WRs and people like Agholor are wasting space. Who would you guys take out of these choices?

Lost by 0.7. Had Cooks and Crosby. I blame that cheese dick Crosby for shanking all of those kicks.

Oh wow, those are some very good options.
Jones>McCoy>Drake>Smallwood>Morris
Perfect thanks!
8 man league and most only have 4 RBs so there's always options (unless you're looking for TEs lol). Despite losing last week I'm still at the bottom of the waiver wire, so we'll see who I get, but I'll prioritize them in that order.

I think I'm gonna drop Keelan Cole for Hines. Drake, Clement and Smallwood are also on the board.

With my sad RBs:
D Cook (super gimp)
M Lynch (runs just enough)
A Morris
W Smallwood

Should I trade Diggs to acquire Chris Thompson?

There's too many waiver wire adds to contemplate this week. I'm just gonna go for Olsen and hope his foot doesn't fall off during his first game back. And maybe Winston. And maybe Sanu, lol.

I'm guessing Jamaal Charles will not factor much, but I picked him up anyway since I had essentially an open spot (let's call it the rotating random players spot) on the bench
