fighting game experts of era, do you agree with the current ranking of fighters from giant bomb?

Fair enough. But these lists are not very interesting when randomized like this.
I want to see an all N64 episode with War Gods, Dark Rift, and Mace: The Dark Age and they have to all use N64 controllers.
Eh I don't take it too seriously, I think Jeff is just happy there are people on staff who are as stoked about fighting games as he is.
The problem is that, as is, the list is just stupid. It doesn't matter what the methodology for creating the list is; it's not interesting in the slightest.

That's how subjectivity works, yeah. Nevertheless, it would be in a content creator's best interest to make content that actually appealed to their audience, so it's not entirely irrelevant.
To completely over analyze a silly joke meant to mock people on forums that tend to over analyze everything, you are still wrong. Doing the list in this fashion allows for a much greater breadth of discussion, and allows for much more discussion and analysis than many of these games have received in decades, or ever maybe. If all you want is another safe list that recognizes the general consensus in the community with maybe slight variations as to which street fighter game is #1, I'm sure that has been done dozens of times before and is a regular topic of discussion on different forums. You could go read one of those lists. Alternatively, you could just be patient, because (theoretically) they will eventually have all of those same discussions while making this list too.
If any "Top Fighting games" list doesn't include Guilty Gear in it (any XX or Xrd iteration, it doesn't matter), it's automatically trash.

I mean, I'm part of their audience and it appeals to me. I love the fact that the manner of putting it together is ridiculous, because people like to get ridiculous about "best of" lists, especially on the internet.
That's not how science works. The list won't be finished until mankind has stopped making fighting games and our civilization crumbles. So, check back in two or three years, maybe someone will have printouts of the list archived at your nearest vault.
When the list gets better, I'll have a better opinion of it. I'm judging its quality based on what it is right now, and right now it sucks.

Battle Fantasia got fucking robbed. There's a third strike parry in that game that they didn't even touch upon. That game is a better SFIV. Joke list or not, god damn it.

Bloody Roar is too low on the current list. That's okay, they will have the chance to repent when Bloody Roar 2 crops up.

I did not, actually. I pointed out the importance of creating content that caters to their audience to show that the subjectivity of an audience opinions still infuence what type of content will be produced.
I'm sure I'm not the only giant bomb fan to think that this list is stupid. I also don't represent the opinions of the total audience. The point here is that such opinions are not irrelevant, even if they're not inherently right or wrong.

Its fine not to like it but you make it sound like they should not bother recording these videos and just release a finished list when they have one. It's like saying they should just not do the GoTY podcasts and just release the list and not how they got there. Just sounds like you dont realize they are a video site and not a list/article site.

The videos are fine (even if I don't find them all that amusing). The list and ranking of the list is still rubbish though and likely will continue to be for a while. Of course, I don't expect them to make any decisions on what content to produce solely based on my opinion.

I think people are more just amused that you posted one of the most profoundly bizarre opinions(the "they should just publish a full list once they've played every fighting game" one) then are so emotional about this list that you continued to double down on it.
It's just a fun list made by some dudes making a video series where they play mostly obscure fighting games. If it's not for you then just move on.

This reads like the list of a bunch of people who hate fighting games and then there's 1 guy on board who genuinely really loves them trying to steer the gang back with legit games.

It's more like there's one guy who says he's really into them and a few others who are interested to indifferent who wipe the floor with him at every game by mashing buttons.
If it's not on the list, it's unranked and can still be scientifically placed anywhere on the list.
Looking at that list in its current ... state, im not sure I can say I trust their science :P
Owch, one of the most rewarding feelings is the FGC is shutting down any cocky mates who are adamant they can beat you with button bashing alone.

They were basically the last fighting games (besides boxing/wrestling/UFC) that I paid any attention to.
Kensei was pretty basic from memory but it had Steven Seagal before he became a lame old fat man.
Thrill Kill was just dumb and offensive but perfect for a 13 y.o. boy at the time.
