Wont be able to speak to anyone until Monday :(
Ummmm... the Japanese version is affordable. Everywhere else in the world is more.Really looking forward to getting Pocky and Rocky over here. The Japanese version is quite expensive.

Ah... well, it's not a dollar anymore!I already own the NA version, got it for like a dollar on eBay in 2000 or something.
Mine's the same, I think it's just tracking errors. I'm just gonna wait it out.Well this is weird, just checked the DHL tracking information and it is saying that it was sent on the 2nd, arrived in Japan on the 3rd with customs status updated, and now its saying its back in Los Angeles. The estimated arrival date is still October 9th. Is this normal or does it look like there was a problem with customs and its been sent back?

Was thinking of buying a second one to keep sealed, but after conversion and ~$50 CAD customs fee, not sure if it's worth it.

But it was fine?
I spent most of the weekend playing this thing, and I can honestly say it's the absolute best way to play Super Nintendo games, period.
They look perfect on my big TV, and the amount of customization options for the video out is staggering. I was also impressed with how little lag there was. I couldn't perceive any, and it has been so long since I've played many of these games without some delay.
My only question to Analoge now is, when are you guys going to produce and release an updated NES NT?
They have kind of claimed they aren't going back to the NES. I find it weird that the clear Super is listed as "Discontinued" while the NES's are "Out of Stock" yet they claim they aren't making more. So, who knows.
Got mine today, just as DHL tracking said. Unfortunately got hit with 1880 yen in customs tax.
Anyway, this thing rules so hard. It's just as good as the SFC+OSSC combo I was using before (once I worked out to turn off interpolation and set it to 720p for scanlines), but with far less hassle and in a little slick box. Even dumped my Dragon Quest 2 save!
So you had to pay when they came to the door? Damn, ah well.
I have plans tonight so I scheduled mine for tomorrow. Not sure what I'll play first yet.
Edit: I'm remembering you also live in Japan as I wrote that. You do, right?
Edit2: is there another thread to talk about the system itself? We can ask questions here?
Yeah, got charged at the door. Also yep, Tokyo! So you had to pay when they came to the door? Damn, ah well.

You might want to check your scanline settings there mate, they're not even.
Got mine!
And it doesn't work with my tv.
"An incompatible video signal has been received."
Any advice?
Same thing happened to me on my old 1080i CRT. It works on my KS8000 though.
I'm able to use my retroUSB AVS on the CRT so I don't know what the deal is.

My TV is 720p/1080i from like 2007 or so. Feels like I bought an expensive paper weight. Wish I could've known there were issues.
Also unable to update the firmware. Follow the instructions and it's just a white light.
edit: have emailed support.
edit2: I suppose it's already updated to the latest firmware, as it's new?

Most likely the EDID for the display isn't telling the SNT that your display doesn't support whatever format the SNT is outputting. If you have another display available try using that to set the SNT to 480p or 720p and then reconnect it to that display.
I've been watching videos on youtube, and I think I can change the settings without my TV.
Three down to go to settings, hit X.
Hit X again to click on video.
Hit X again to click on resolution.
I haven't seen a video where they actually click on resolution, but I will do trial and error, and hopefully be able to click on 480p or 720p.
(If anyone can provide me with the steps after clicking resolution, I would be grateful!)
- Holding reset on powerup will force 480p mode. This should fix the issue people were having with non-detection of EDID leading to blank screens. Once booted, you can attempt to change modes to a higher one (i.e. 720p).
Hope you have enough by Black Friday for the yearly 20% off sale. It's the best time of year to get one.
Great to hear. Now read my post and watch the video in the other thread.
You can replace the battery, FYI. But it's a slight hassle, you'll have to solder a bit. SD2SNES is a solid idea either way, I use it a lot just for the convenience of not having to dig through my carts. Don't forget you can dump your games and play back ROMs with the jailbreak firmware. It's certainly not as good as an SD2SNES, but might be a neat stop gap solution.Got my starter kit ready to go. Got an SFC Super Metroid cart on the way. Hopefully the battery ain't dead, but if it is I'll just have to beat it in one sitting (unless the game is unplayable with a dead battery). Saving up for an SD2SNES.
I don't know why so many people go the SD2SNES route tbh. I returned mine when this batch of Super NTs went up for preorder because of the jailbreak firmware. The number of special chip games is so low that I just bought the 8 or so I wanted and I can have everything else on the SD.
There's also save states for non-chip games but I haven't tried it yet.The SD2SNES is going to get official SA-1 support very soon (the beta firmware for it is pretty damn solid), which means some of the systems really expensive games will be supported.
