So they give you the EXP curve boost for free? Lol.To get you started, you'll have $10 of in-game currency to spend in the game (you won't be able to make additional purchases on your own).

Modular phones :(
:O how?Apparently there is bug in the game that's let you play as nude main character XD
:O how?
#totallynotinterested
Edit: Just to clarify, I'm joking, I'm really not interested... yeah.
I know it requires a Ubi account, so say I purchase the game after Jan 15th on uPlay, would I be able to gain access to the above? It doesn't specify.
The Ars Technica article mentions GeForce Now being only available for the Shield TV, but the Beta program is available for PCs and Macs.
That $10 bonus is siloed to the GPS build. (As are any uPlay achievements.) My $10 bonus in GPS didn't somehow appear in my PC version. (If you spend uPlay coins on the GPS build, otoh, they're gone for good once the test ends.)
They already know where I am (Maps), where I drive and how fast (Waze), what I search for, what apps I use and who I call etc (Android phone), store my emails, have my bank details, know what I watch on YouTube, I could go on and on. It's scary and tempting to set up a separate Google account for each service. But them also knowing what games I play is probably the least of my worries. The ability for Google to know what you play, when you play it and for how long, and to tie that to you personally and everything else you do online is fucking horrifying.
"Available" as in you can submit your details and wait weeks for an invite. I'm still waiting for my invite, I'm intrigued to try it out. That said, hands-on impressions in the media have been kind regarding latency, but less kind regarding image quality. The Ars Technica article mentions GeForce Now being only available for the Shield TV, but the Beta program is available for PCs and Macs.
Google is one of the most late to enter, copycat developers in the world. And when something isn't a hit it goes down the drain and is erased totally. They have more abandoned projects than employees. So yeah, put zero faith in a Google product unless it's a hit from day one.I guess I just wish I had more faith in Google to not end up dropping this project in a few years. Especially after Google+ ended today.
I signed up Oct 1 using my US VPN, no love so far .
I also signed up the first day and have not gotten an invite (I'm in the US)
Your gaming habits is where you draw the line for Google's intrusion into your daily life? The ability for Google to know what you play, when you play it and for how long, and to tie that to you personally and everything else you do online is fucking horrifying.
Apparently, my connection is too spotty for this to work reliably. Only getting a 2Mbps steady streaming rate :/
I just tried this out. I was really excited, initially, but after playing for about an hour, I'm really bummed. I have a 175 mbps download speed, and 12 mbps upload, yet an icon kept popping up on the lower right side of the screen telling me there was an issue with my connection which would effect the quality of the stream. I didn't notice any lag, but the quality of the resolution and compression looked pretty bad. It looked sub HD on my end.
I'll try it again later to see if it improves. As far as the game goes, I liked what I played so far. If anything I can just use this as an extended demo to decide if I want to buy this on the X1X.
Damn, I'm short 5mbps for the minimum requirement.
Maybe in 2020 when more games are available for streaming.
25mbps is "recommended" according to ArsTechnica.
latency? probably only trying it on a smattering of US servers first as a test run."Sorry, this project is currently open in the U.S. only"
Why? As a non-US citizen, you often feel like being considered as second class.
Sure but why not also test in EU? Especially for such a kind of service, you want to have as many regions tested, I'd guess. Anyway, me sad :(latency? probably only trying it on a smattering of US servers first as a test run.
