Amaterasu isn't an animal, she's a deity who took the form of an animal. You know what are animals? People. It's a good thing the Guinness Book of World Records doesn't get hung up on technicalities.

I think it means non-anthropomorphic.
Sonic stands upright and wears shoes! Amaterasu mostly resembles a wolf.
Oh. I was like, cool but what about Crash, Banjo, Spyro, Donkey Kong, etc...

That makes more sense. Although besides Ecco the Dolphin and... I dunno... A Dog's Life? Tokyo Jungle? I don't know what other animal games there are out there.

I typically disliked motion controls on the Wii...but in spite of those (with only some minor frustrations here and there), I loved playing Okami. I hope the current gen ports are selling well; also hope maybe we'll seen an Okami-den port someday, as well (I believe it's still DS exclusive).

I'm sure it has made up for that first award by now seeing as how it has been ported on everything under the sun.

The first game to ever put me to sleep...which is sad because it's drop dead gorgeous and it has such an interesting universe...I just couldn't keep my eyes open for it.

Im sorry but that second award seems odd

its so specific. why?

the first one though is roughhhhh

That's their business model now. Companies make up an award category and they hire Guinness people to officiate it. The company gets press for getting a world record, Guinness gets money.
