Just kind of an aside, I kind of realized this watching the xCloud trailer, I'm probably out with physical consoles.
I just can't see myself dropping another $400-$500 on a PS5/XB2 if this streaming service works well enough. My area has fiber optic already too.
I still play quite a bit but I'm getting older and I don't play as much as I used to nor am I going to be entering some kind of professional fighting game tournament. As long as this service can run these games decently, it's hard for me to justify buying another console. I just want access to the "main" big 3rd party games and a decent assortment of 1st party games.
This may be the first gen since the SNES days that I don't have either a Sony or MS console. I will still buy a Switch successor/revision/whatever because Nintendo is unlikely to have a streaming service, but I think that is going to be the only physical gaming hardware in my house going for the next gen.
Wonder if anyone else is in the same boat or considering it.
