lets discuss the other box office story and much better movie, A Star is Born. See it now so you can understand the impacT of "Shallow" and "I'll Never Love Again" before they take over the radio, and you before all its various Oscar nominations including Best Picture.

I wanted 'All The Stars' to win it but this one is getting quite the ground swell.

A Star Is Born is fucking fantastic. Seeing that this weekend over Venom was the best decision I made theatrically in a while.

Lady Gaga was fucking fantastic in it.

Ah, okay.

So we'll probably hear about the deal being extended sooner than later.

If they extend the deal, I feel either Marvel is plopping some good money in their lap. Or they end up offering some interesting incentives. I know you're pushing on them extending, but Sony is so weird that I could see them being the sort to gamble getting Spider-Man back.

The backlash if Sony pulled out would be be interesting to watch unfold.

The predator is the worst movie I've seen this year. Jurassic World 2 is also close.

Venom is better than both.

Venom's more of a 60/100 then the 35% on the tomato meter. it can be a good time (especially when the titular star of the show shows up)

You have a pretty sad life then.

Sony has added an entirely new dimension of salt to the silly MCU/DC pissing wars.

Edit: this thread went places.

I'm happy for Venom here.

Bigger opening for hardy than even Mad Max. I hope it leads to him getting bigger roles, since he can clearly sell a film.

The sequel has a bunch of potential to be one of the funniest comic book films ever.

I'm curious, why is that? Might be that gaga is not as famous as she used to be?

We just watched the movie and thought gaga did an excellent job.

On PostTrak, 69% of the audience was Caucasian, 17% Hispanic, 4% African American and 7% Asian. A Star Is Born played best in the big cities, especially on the coasts: A majority of the top 10 runs were in New York or Los Angeles.
I think Gaga still draws in a diverse audience for her music but this movie was the exact opposite.

Ok, time the fuck out, y'all.

How did they get Gary Oldman to sign on to 'Hunter Killer'?

And isn't that blatant Trump/Putin propaganda?!?!

And people on this forum said no one cares about Venom. Haha

Bring on the solo Gambit film and the Venom sequels!

WELP. My prediction for Venom burned down pretty badly. Oh well.

I suspect that the second week drop might end up being pretty good for it too.

She's not. Her last popular single was "Applause," which was in August 2013, and it didn't do that well because it was going up against Katy Perry's "Roar." In reality, her last big single was "Edge of Glory," in 2011.
