Let me see making a bunch of Comic book franchises, legitimately good, make money hand over fist, created memorable moments in comic book cinema and making an unknown character known in Iron man. Shit, multiple of them.
Though it's funny as hell seeing folks stan for venom, when its ultimately a shit movie.
Venom is based on a comic book character who still gets new material. The Greatest Show is based on the circus which went out of business and shut down a few years ago.

Well, you didn't just say The Dark Knight. You also mentioned Spider-Man 2, which was the main example I took issue with. TDK is amazing and still holds up alongside the best today.
Though I'd say that an argument can be made that Black Panther is better than The Dark Knight. But at that point, we're just arguing semantics.
So you just like general crap action movies (if your talking about the new Hateful 8). Instead of character pieces that consistent of actual story telling and a plot line thicker than two lines of diagloue.

Audiences seem to respond pretty well to it, it's doing huge numbers. Hardy and Williams made the right bet after all even when era was insisting this would be a fantastic four level bomb.
I wonder if Bloodshot could have a higher opening than Venom. Valiant is pretty unknown but Vin Diesel for some reason fills theaters.

The truth is, it is critically panned and the consensus among the critics is that is sucks because it is a bad movie with a bad script.
Xxx 3 says different. Opened to $20m. Ended with $44m domestic. Now it sold like gangbusters in China.
