All of them. Time travel would kill you. Teleportation would kill you. Super strength would kill others. Superspeed would kill everybody.

Super sonic flight without any of the supplemental powers to support it. Either that or you're tied down by needing a suit for warmth and protection from being torn apart, helmet, means of breathing at the very least and probably more. Then you still lack the super strength you're gonna need so, good luck getting the full use out of that power.

Super strength would be awful. You would likely be a danger to others as you would have to be constantly mindfully of your strength. Even if you could control it 99% of the time, you would undoubtedly slip up. Also, you would be forced to forgo having a sex life (especially as a man).

Do you automatically crush kittens when you try to pet them? Or break their neck by accident when they piss you off?

Yeah but you'd never know when you were blinking. If you get near a bright light you couldn't squint or close your eyes. Think about all the ways you use your eyes.
The Hollow Man/Invisible Man form of invisibility is horrible. Sue Storm's invisibility would be the most ideal as she can control it.

I always thought super senses would be pretty bad overall. Super hearing means you'd never be able to sleep properly outside deafening yourself (Daredevil) there are a lot of nasty smells in the world for super noses, lots of things you'd not actually want to see to closely with heightened vision...

Batman Beyond did a good job showing the horror that is phasing through solid matter powers gone out of control.

I remember a comic where, Superman was dead/gone, but they had figured out how to give humans one of his powers. One guy had his super strength, but he couldn't even feed himself. Another guy had x-ray vision, but that's all he could ever see. Can't remember the rest really, since I can't even remember what the comic was, but every single one had a downside I'm pretty sure. I don't think the comic was very good, but the premise was pretty interesting.

My answer would be telepathy. Definitely would have a TON of upsides, but it would probably really suck to always know what everyone thinks about you.

Seeing the future.

It would take the spontaneity out of life.

Actually, I disagree with this. The only thing different with this is that life would become a closed circle. I mean, it already is a closed circle because free will is an illusion. Constantly being of the future as well as the past would let you appreciate your own life in its wholeness and finitude.

But what about Ants? We have to concentrate hard not to squash an ant.

If you have the strength in a relative scale to that, then you would have to be so careful all the time.

Another downside to being invisible is how would you see in the first place. Either there's two black holes floating around everywhere, or you cant see anything as the light is reflected around your eyes.

I don't know if it's a superpower if you can't turn off the invisibility. Being forever invisible would be a curse.

Even if you could turn it off it would be pretty useless. You have to take off your clothes every time you want to be invisible and go back to your clothes if you want to become visible again. Also, you can't go outside naked if it's too cold.

Bullshit! Think of all the cool shit you'll see and experience. Space travel and discovering the secrets of the universe.
Having to bury your loved ones any relationship you have they die you don't.

Over time how would you remember all your kids names ?

You would t make friends as they would all die. Time would have no meaning.

Also if your immortal what if you also age. Your screwed.

Better power would be the power to learn/speak/read/write understand and language

If you're immortal why would you even want to continually get into deep personal relationship? Why are you trying to live a normal life?

I guess we see things differently.

Pictures, videos, journals, and that's if I wanted to be tied down by my memories. I live and love the family and friends I have now, I shouldn't want to die off because they're no longer around.

SANs is a real thing that supposed to reverses the effects of aging by 2035. Our idea of immortality are totally different where I think of it as you don't age and don't die.

Not everything though. You're still limited by time and space. You won't be able to stop an earthquake for example. And if you "come out" you will be targeted by all types of organizations and governments to work with them lol. Sounds like a nightmare.
On the bright side, if you had precognition you would be able to see all the outcomes, or be able to evade said organizations who come after you. Granted, it all depends on how far in the future you can see.

When you get a pet, you know you'll outlive them but you still love them just the same. Also many people take a new pet when their pet dies (not immediately but after some time). If you're immortal perhaps getting into a relationship would be like getting a new pet.

Wouldn't you be blind if you were invisible because the light wouldn't bounce off your eyes or something?

Similarly with stopping time, you wouldn't be able to breathe.

No it depends how your power would work. If you become invisible via magic then maybe the spell still allows you to see. Same with stopping time.

Any transformation power just seems like it has to be painful. To shrink your body size and then grow back. Sure there are "magic" logics here, but God damn if going from a full grown man to a rat back to a full grown man doesn't sound painful.
What about the question about where your memories go? What about your cognitive abilities? Turn into a rat, lose memories/etc so you aren't aware you can turn back. Even if you do, wouldn't your brain be permanently damaged?

At that point you're just changing the laws of physics though, meaning you're basically a god.

I mean, I thought that was the entire point of the thread.

But if you want some sort of hyper realistic superpower, maybe your invisibility is really a hypnotic drug or gas or nanomachines that make people's brains not process that they are seeing you when they see you.

That's.... one way to see it... I guess a normal person would feel the need to be close to someone or something even if they're immortal.

Hell with that! I would explore the Universe, Look for new experiences, search for alien life or old alien civilization, get as close as I safely can and watch a star being born, Go to the weird void in our universe and see what's up, and so much more.

My interactions with others at that point would be superficial. Business transactions, means to an end, one night stands, and such.

I think Lois and Clark had some episodes like that. An evil scientist invented a machine which emitted specific light patterns which caused everyone to freeze in place. Also hypnotists that could manipulate and make people believe anything. Sort of super powers without the downside. The series had some pretty cool inventive episodes.

I am very curious to know how you plan on traveling the universe? You are immortal but that doesn't mean you have infinite amount of resources to travel. Let's say you somehow got a spaceship to travel how would you pay for fuel? Let's say you get trapped in a black hole how would you escape? The nearly infinite gravity?

Your immortality idea doesn't work.
