OP is banned since it's pretty clear why the thread was made, but, uh, I guess we can still use this thread to discuss the rally if you like.

Uh, if you're going to ban the guy that posted the thread you should probably just close the thread. Doesn't leaving it open legitimize the OP and make the ban kind of unreasonable?

This is physically painful to listen to. And the YouTube comments on the NBC YouTube stream is just
holy shit.

Eh. I can see your point, but I mean, the thread's already here. The rally is still an event to discuss despite how it was framed in the OP/follow ups.

Why? Serious question, do we really need a thread for every single one?

Would making a thread to capture them all, and then renaming the thread when big events occur, make sense?

Trump is garbage, and his supporters are either garbage, or garbage-by-proxy. He is dragging the US down the shitter, and WAY too many of it's residents are willing to go with him. Before other countries get too smug, it's not just the US, it's happening everywhere. Brexit, the rise of the far right in Europe, more division, more wedges forced between us...we're regressing, seemingly willingly. Yes, Hillary got the popular vote by a few million, but in what universe should the race have even been that close? How was it a race at all? How did people see that piece of shit doing what he was doing and decided he'd be a good fit to run the country? How did Brexit even happen? That vote was even closer...then you hear the stories of absolute dipshits who voted for Brexit, but only because they thought it wouldn't happen? Like, what even IS that fucking idiot mentality? All on the back of a pack of lies spouted by a frog-faced chinless cunt from a podunk, racist party that should never have had the tiny amount of support it did. Meanwhile we sit back while our NHS and police force are slowly strangled to death by the Tories so they can say they don't work and need to be replaced. They want us like the US system - corrupt as fuck, essentially killing off the poor by denying them affordable care and competent civil guardians.
Where are all these decent people we supposedly have left? Where were their votes when this bullshit was going down? 9/11 worked, it was successful as hell for those who crave this kind of division...and our top brass fell for it hook, line and sinker. They positively revelled in it, it gave them the opportunity they needed to shit all over us and have many of us smile and ask for more as it happens.
It's depressing as hell.

One of my coworkers took today off to go to this rally (I live in Wichita).

I feel so out of place in this state at times.

New news, new thread. Also a new thread gives a clear delineation on when the newest one "starts" in the thread, so to speak (i.e. Post #1 instead of some random one later in a megathread).

In this Thread: People who don't understand probabilities.

I remember the polls and betting shops were all saying Trump has a very low probability of winning. I remember users also mocking those that expressed concern in the election thread. I remember the phrase "what's the matter? Is this baby's first election?" Being said over and over but you can be sure that stopped eventually.

I mean I would have watched this, but we know for certain he is going do his usual ramblings throughout. It's just so painful to sit through.

I just hope the lot of us go out and vote. Be on your toes everyone.

I'll sum it up for you: The ends justify the means. GOP doesn't care about what he does as long as they control the government. You're seeing the fruits of their labor now with a GOP controlled Supreme Court.

Remember Never Trump conservatives? Where are they now? Bending over because they realize controlling all branches of government is more important than anything else.

Same thing goes for the evangelicals. I see many people wonder why they would support such a comically amoral person, but (besides being the biggest hypocrites walking God's green earth) to them, as long as he accomplishes what they want (end of abortion, end of gay marriage, embassy in Jerusalem) it doesn't matter about how he conducts himself or what he does otherwise.

Trump could piss on the Bible and Christians would support it saying, "God works in mysterious ways."

What was the original thread title?

Also even Trump supporters should be wondering why he's spending their tax dollars raising money and stroking his ego on a day he claims is for going to church. Eh what am I talking about. At this point they just want to cheer for billionaires who despise tgem and maybe shout the n-word.

I am also in Wichita. While we have a ton of shitheels here, I know a ton of friends, people at work, and other places who find Trump, his rhetoric, and everyone who supports him as abhorrent even if they had considered themself Republican previously.

You're not alone.
