Is LIS2 good? I have to say, i just started playing the LIS1. I'm at the beginning of ep4 and i'm not that into it. The whole butterfly effect thing is kinda lame. I love the soundtrack and the fact that i saved that girl from killing herself but sometimes the gameplay is just meh... 'get me 5 bottles' was so stupid

Watching the Life Is Strange 2 Spoiler Mode and very disappointed with the critiscms of the police scene of the first episode. Like...worse things have happened in real life as an example of police brutality. Things have escalated far worse far more quickly over the smallest things. I don't see how that scene is in any way NOT indicative of reality.

I agree. I give them some leeway though as they're not minorities and imagine they've never had to face any kind of racial profiling before. Still disappointing though.

I found the scene to be really awkward and not nearly as impacting as it should have been. Not the content of it, just the way it was directed. No tension, no build up, it just... happens, with some really weird cuts and editing. Don't know if that was their criticism but it kind of ruined the scene for me.

I don't know if you already got an answer to this, but on Community Showcase you asked if the Octopath Traveler soundtrack is on US stores as well. I did buy a copy of the soundtrack as well and I looked into it a bit more because I put a lot of information on discogs.com.

There seems to be one release which is clearly marketed towards the world. It has both Japanese and English titles for the tracks and it even has a translated interview inside (as well as the Japaense one).
So I think it's a Japanese release that was meant to be sold worldwide.

You can buy it on US Amazon as far as I can see (but I suspect it's an "import"). I have seen it on the European Square Enix Store, so I think they they sell it all over the world (even thought it's the same version as sold in Japan).

I imported/pre-ordered it on JP Amazon a week before the game came out (I wanted the soundtrack after playing the demo). Mine was delayed because it was already sold out apparently (it didn't show yet when I ordered it, so I think I was an hour too late or so). But I only had to wait a week extra. My copy came with an erratum page with a fixed tracktitle, but later copies apparently don't (I got this from somebody on discogs).

I'm unsure on how easily you can get a copy nowadays, but from what I have seen before with other games, Square Enix is rather good in keep producing copies of their soundtracks (I bought the Nier:Automata soundtrack after GOTY's last year).

I do usually import them from the JP Amazon site because it's usually cheaper compared to ordering from European stores (you can set JP Amazon to English, so it's not even a hassle to navigate), but I think US Amazon sells them as well (not sure what's cheaper in that case). It also arrives quickly when I order at JP Amazon. It's usually faster than ordering stuff from a UK or NL webstore, which is insane as I live in Belgium.

There are cheaper JP stores to get them, but then customs sometimes flags the packages which makes them a lot more expensive (as they charge 30+ euro extra). For Amazon JP I pay a little bit more for customs (usually 8 - 16 euro), but it never got flagged after that). I don't know if that's a problem for the US or how it works over there.

I never tried the Square Enix store, but I guess that is a good way to get them as well.

Kyle, you're making it worse. Man, the reactions from Damiani (both before and as it was happening), Brad and Brandon (especially at the end).

Kyle, you should have just kept it to "go vote, it makes you feel good." That's all you should have done.

Man astro bot is soooooo good! I played through world 1 and had a blast. I found all the bots and chameleons except for the chameleon in level 4. I played through that level three times and cant find it. I did all the challenge levels that I unlocked as well. Platforming at its finest.

Kyle's final word kind of irked me. There definitely have been instances where a single vote has determined who has won in an a district. Saying that your vote doesn't matter is not ok.

I agree with Kyle 100%

He's not advocating for "NOT VOTING". He's just recognizing it's a leap of faith. That what really gets things moving is believing the zeitgeist and being a small part of it.

And he's being a bit facetious to shock and get people that already don't vote to think about it in a different way. If you think you vote matter you'll vote. He's trying differently and I applaud him for trying.

I don't think my votes matters (I am not from the US but we have to vote in 2 weeks as well), but I would still go vote (even if it wasn't mandatory for us to do so).

Not believing in the voting system or not doesn't necessarily stops you from voting (I believe in the idea behind it, but I don't trust the government to keep it fair). I am convinced the votes in most countries are not 100% fair (even though I do think they mostly are, there will always be some shenanigans in some parts of the country) and even if they were, I have seen people I voted for and who won being moved to different positions instead of the one that he was on the list for (we have to choose between hundreds of people/10 parties or so, so it's somewhat different). That was the first time I had to vote and I have never voted on somebody who could get chosen again. Always somebody in the middle of the list who will never win (it still counts for the party I am voting on, so it's not a wasted vote).

If you believe the votes will be 100% fair in the US (especially with that baboon in office), you can think again.

That said, I do believe everybody should go vote anyway to try and prevent something like that will ever happen again.
If you don't go vote, you don't have the right to complain about who was voted for (and that's why I would vote even if it wasn't mandatory in our country).

I do believe it would have been better for Kyle to be silent about it after last week, but I believe he says these things to make people think about voting and what it means.
He does try to get people to vote even though it's in his own quirky way.

I absolutely understand what kyle says, he's not talking to me or probably to any of us here in this thread, most of us here probably know how important it is to vote. He is talking from the point of view of someone, juts like him, that has or had the view that a vote doesn't really matter, and I think contrary to the hilarious final word he had last week, this week what he said was extremely well articulated and well thought out, I really respected what he said. what he said was worth of shows like last week tonight.
