Its a fucking meme. Enjoy being the fun police? Thats the sole reason so far in this thread that people are salty about it seems like. If you've got issues with their business policy and their office space thats fine but don't go giving shit because they put a meme up that has been on the internet for quite a while. Yep they are, it's just many people compare them to 3rd party key sites. Often ones with keys acquired by CC fraud or just gray market dealings. Not really the same as official storefront. Not to throw every key seller under the bus though, there's ofc completely legit ones too but then there's stuff like G2A.

ive loved half-life since 1 releaesed, but we arent entitled to episode 3, and some of yalls arguments really reinforce the entitled gamer idea badly.

Ubisoft, MS, Nintendo, Bungie, Sony and Blizzard just to name a few.
All of these companies are vastly more anti-consumer than Valve/Steam.
That's all it is yet era has somehow turned this into a negative thing.

I've long since given up on ever seeing Half-life again but I don't see why it's so terrible to be disappointed in how Valve treated the series. Like this isn't just demanding they make a new game so let because people want it to be the only thing Valve ever make.

They do more then make games. DOTA 2 released in 2013. 6 years after TF2.
The screen cycles through internet videos, mostly game trailers, and yes a Gabe meme.
I don't think it has anything to do with people wanting HL3. Most valve fans would love that. I think it's more the posters that are whiny, entitled and snarky when it comes to Valve. If you need some examples just read this thread.
