Looking for recommendations for these types of movies if anyone knows any good ones.

I saw Prisoners last night for the first time and that was excellent, although hard to watch at times :p

Here's a list of the ones I've seen - I realise some of these might not fit in the strict definition of a thriller, so please be kind :D

The Invitation
The Gift
The Guest
Prisoners
Blue Ruin
Green Room
Wind River
Don't Breathe
Get Out
Coherence
Source Code
Gone Girl
Nocturnal Animals
10 Cloverfield Lane
Nightcrawler
Stoker
Memento
Split
It Follows
The Witch
Hush
Sicario
Hell or High Water
Hereditary
A Quiet Place
Bone Tomahawk

I may have missed a few as well.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

All the movies you listed are relatively recent. How about some older stuff like Hitchcock?

North by Northwest
Psycho
Rear Window
The 59 Steps

Hell, pretty much every Hitchcock.

Body Heat
What Lies Beneath (do not watch a trailer!)

LOL re: WLB. Zemeckis does that shit on purpose. he even stated as much. He's like "The audience doesn't want to be fooled, they want to know exactly what they are getting into"

Which is why the trailer for Cast Away shows him getting home and talking to his ex-wife, etc. Like WTF. Anyone who complains about that "spoiler", the statute of limitations on that ran out 15 years ago.

I always loved The Conversation, but might be biased because I had to watch it tens of times for an essay.

I suspect you've seen it but you'd also like Triangle.

Timecrimes(Spanish thriller) would be up your alley too.

Triangle and Timecrimes are closer to something like Coherence to give you an idea.

I know! I want someone to watch it without being spoiled. I think it's probably a very effective thriller.

Try some David Mamet: House of Games, The Spanish Prisoner and Heist.

Can I piggyback little bit here? I would like the same genre films but from 60s and 70s. I have seen most Agatha Christie films but beyond that, not that much.

Edit. Oh, and I have also seen every Hitchcock film.

Love Mamet. The Verdict and The Untouchables is pretty hard to beat for back-to-back screenplays (even if they were 5 years apart)

Looks like you might be a Jake Gyllenhaal fan? You might like to check out Enemy and Zodiac.

And it's not exactly a thriller or mystery, but also check out Donnie Darko if you haven't seen it for another great Gyllenhaal film filled with weirdness that reveals itself over the course of the film.

Zodiac and Se7en for sure.

Christopher Nolan's Insomnia and The Prestige are great as well.

The Mothman Prophecy is really great.

Awesome cast but a really creepy, weird atmosphere makes the movie.

You should check out Memories of murder. One of my favourite films, and I usually don't even really like crime movies.

Minority Report* (Source Code-like)
Frequency* (not scary)
Lucky Number Slevin* (not scary)

Have you seen Sleuth? It's my favourite seventies mystery film!

Avoid the remake, though.

Mulholland Drive is one hell of a thriller/mystery. My fav movie of all time

This. I think you'd like David Lynch movies. They'll probably fuck you up though, at least that's what these movies do to me.

I noticed that you, OP, didn't mention any Hitchcock movies.

Check out Vertigo (insane twist!) and Rope and Psycho (and basically everything else)! He's the master of supense and thriller. Even though these movies are quite old, nothing comes even close.

The Ghost Writer is a fantastic recent one if you've got no qualms with a Polanski movie.

Brian de Palma also made some fine thrillers, like Blow Out, Dressed To Kill and Raising Cain.

For lovers
Zodiac is on Prime if you're American and is the best film of the 00's.

Watch Zodiac.
