Remember to delete them from Xbox Live using Xbox because once the cloud starts to fill up, the console will automatically (and tragically) start deleting screenshots prior to even uploading them from the local drive itself.

Thanks for the info. So there's an arbitrary limit that can be reached that prevents the screen shots from appearing? I took some of Forza Horizon 4 the other day and they don't appear on Xbox.com or xboxdvr.com, but they appear on the Xbox mobile app. So does that mean I have to go through and delete old screen shots and videos?

Xbox live service has certain amount of cloud storage space (I am not sure how much it is for certain). When you take screenshots they are stored in your local drive (there is an option to store in external storage should you attach it). The said images are automatically copied to the cloud storage. Xboxdvr.com essentially lets you see and download images from that cloud space. The real problem becomes when the cloud storage gets filled up. After this, not all of the screenshots you will take will sync with the cloud and the system will delete images from the local drive regardless (which makes absolutely zero sense). In essence, you will end up losing screenshots that have not been backed up (unless an external drive is at play).

My recommendation is to regularly download images from the DVR site and subsequently deleting them from XBL. You can do this from within the console in the capture gallery menu. It allows for deleting screenshots on both local and cloud storage.
