I always figured this show would be ok. It just shouldn't be the lead to launching your streaming service.

Yeah if you're going to make a review thread it's only fair that you include many reviews in the opening post. Not just the one big negative review to try and shape the narrative to be something you want it to be. Be fair and put the positive reviews as well.

Harley or Young Justice would have been better lead programs for sure.
Smh OP, smdh. I thought this looked bad from the first trailer, but these reviews are way better than I was expecting. Sometimes you get good surprises

For a long time I assumed YJ was the lead. It's the one new thing that people clearly wanted. Lead with that and have lower profile things ready to drop behind it.
I would definitely watch this....if I wasn't in the US....and if I didn't have to pay freaking money just to watch ONE show.

Harley doesn't seem to come out till this time next year so the animation side of thing seems to be taking longer.
I think launching with something new would have been fine; just would have had to be a little higher profile than The Titans.
Tbh, I think it's weird they don't have anything featuring the Trinity on deck besides having Batman as a secondary character in "Harley Quinn." Launching with a new Wonder Woman or Superman project seems like it would have been a no-brainer.
When this service was coming together they might have still had that thing about keeping some characters/franchises off of TV and in movies only.

I'll likely watch it at some point but I'm still EXTREMELY pessimistic about this whole thing.

Never ever judge a show by their pilot, I don't know how many times I have to say this to people, and you know that is good advice for the most part
I'm genuinely surprised by the positive reviews but I'm not going to pretend like all suddenly watch this either. I still don't care about it, still doesn't look like something that I would be invested in. But I'm happy if those that were looking forward to this have a great product.
It does make me slightly more optimistic and excited for Doom Patrol however, and considering the cast of that looks fantastic the only remaining concern is how they'll manage to swing it on a television budget.

Robin is hot (with the mask, preferably) but I have less than zero interest in this. I love love love me some Robin/Nightwing/Dick (heh) but nothing about this looks.... good.

I mean, while DC tv shows aren't all the best. I don't think there is anything out right horrible. I'm hoping it clicks with me like Black Lightning did.

Sometimes. Personality wise she looks pretty close to some incarnations so far.
The issue is that godawful wig and coat.
Once they handle that shit, she might be good.
At least not out the door. Some of them ramp in to being pretty bad though. Supergirl managing it before its first season was done.
Okay, seeing these more positive reviews has me interested. I'll give it a shot for a couple of episodes to see if it ends up grabbing me or not.
