I don't watch a ton of baseball outside the redsox but starting a relief pitcher is not normal right...

People think they "buy" their team, and haven't looked at the past decade where Joe Girardi took literally shit teams to winning records, and Brian Cashman built one of the best farm systems in baseball through savvy trades and developing the farm.

Edwin Jackson or Mike Fiers could have given up a 1st inning home run to Judge like Hendricks did. So goofy how baseball is so mired down in the concrete of tradition. A pitcher is a pitcher who cares.

Real story is how Severino is pitching an absolute gem that would beat Cy Young, Sandy Koufax and Orel Hershiser in their primes. So who cares who starts for the A's.
