The first season of The Gifted made me so damn exhausted and not in a good way. The show was decent enough but I haven't been craving the show while it's been on hiatus.

Monday night's ratings are here! The Neighborhood did pretty okay. Manifest dropped but still did really well:

Oh no, this makes me concerned for Whose Line. Every so often I marathon the new eps and they still have the laughs, especially now that Aisha Tyler has settled in properly.
Here's hoping for a renewal because it must be SUPER-CHEAP to produce and make.

Yeah, and I think because I really got Walking Dead vibes from it. I love X-Men, but this just didn't do it... Legion S2 was ummm.... (I feel like I'll end up enjoying Dark Phoenix more, at this point :x)

I'd be sad if it ended, but it had a good run. I was looking at Wikipedia at the episode listings, and wow old seasons has A LOT of episodes, but spread across a couple years. CW has been more conservative on episode orders, so I think it'll be ok until the cast decides to move on (even though they pretty much produce the thing, too).

Watched The Neighborhood and Happy Together this afternoon.

Despite liking the main cast (Max Greenfield, Cedric, Beth Behrs for The Neighborhood and Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens-West for Happy Together) these shows just aren't cutting it for me. Didn't like the racial comedy in Neighborhood, found the humor better in Happy Together but feel like the premise will stall out before long.

Looks like an old thread favourite might be returning. The CW is considering rebooting The L.A Complex:

I know it got some positive notices, but weren't the ratings more or less nonexistent (even by CW standards)?

Netflix Orders 'Hoops' Adult Animated Series Starring Jake Johnson From Ben Hoffman, Phil Lord, Chris Miller & 20th TV
Netflix is expanding its adult animated series slate, ordering 10 episodes of Hoops starring former New Girl star Jake Johnson, from writer-comedian Ben Hoffman (The Late Late Show with James Corden, Archer), Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie), Bento Box (Bob's Burgers) and 20th Century Fox TV.

Created, and written by Hoffman, Hoops centers around a hot-headed, foul-mouthed high school basketball coach who thinks turning around his God-awful team will take him to the "big leagues."

Heck yeah, The L.A. Complex.

Jake Johnson means I'm sold. Netflix really going for it on animated coaches, with Coach Steve on Big Mouth (who is in the show A LOT more in the second season) and now this.

Really pleased to hear this. I wasn't super into Blindspot so I'm glad to see Gero back on LA Complex. (Which was super underappreciated.) Glad to see I'm in good company with kevin1025 in being psyched for this. (RatskyWatsky , did you ever end up checking it out? I think I remember recommending it to you.)

Today in CBS is a dumpster fire news:

CBS Executive Vinnie Favale Placed On Leave Amid Allegations Of Sexual, Homophobic Language
A CBS executive who develops comedic talent for the Late Show With Stephen Colbert has been placed on administrative leave as the media company investigates allegations of him using sexually explicit and homophobic language in the workplace and retaliating against those who complained.
Nine current and former CBS employees who spoke to CNN described Vinnie Favale's use of ribald and offensive language, including one who said he talked about how he got "four erections" while watching Jennifer Hudson rehearse for a show.
Favale would encourage the Late Show producers to book "hotter" female guests, CNN reported. Others described his use of the derogatory term "homos" to disparage the show's guests and co-workers, and even Colbert, according to those who spoke with CNN.

Wow, look at all these creeps getting ejected from CBS.

I wonder if there was some kind of person watching out for them that recently got ousted...

A Million Little Things is throwing all these drama troupes at once, it's gonna get convoluting and messy.

Also it's creator DJ Nash does not have the most solid track record. ABC sure is marketing this show hard though.

They want a big new hit despite having Doctor, Grey's and Murder.
Grey is on its 15th season and can't last forever. Murder isn't a hit anymore and hasn't been for a couple of years. Good Doctor is gonna slip into fractional numbers soon.
Million didn't interest me from the commercials and I haven't given it a chance at all.

All they need to do is find a new Shonda. Should be simple, right?

Netflix is really gobbling up talent.

Ellen Pompeo recently hinted that the end was nigh re: Grey's, so yeah, ABC is probably panicking atm

"I'm clearly not prepared right now to make any formal announcement about what my future is on the show, but I am really feeling like we have told the majority of the stories that we can tell," she told Entertainment Weekly in anticipation of the season 15 premiere. "It's about time that I mix it up. I'm definitely looking for a change."

It's insane Pitch failed when had it been saved another year, it would have been a hit thanks to Us.

Didn't realize Murder isn't the shit anymore, I just assume it's the only show ABC wants to protect with Shonda gone.

Pitch was good. I watched it all and would have continued.

I watched the first episode of A Million Little Things last night, too, and it was pretty good but not This is Us. Nothing is though.
