Adjustable noise cancellation. Fucking sold. I'll use this feature quite a bit.
Same. This thing is a trooper. The black Surface is slick af
If only Surface headphones were wireless compatible with Xbox One....

Are you certain of this? I don't have an Xbox but if this true, then it's truly mind boggeling to me. I'd be seriously surprised if their newest laptop and their console would both be incompatible. If only Surface headphones were wireless compatible with Xbox One....
Beautiful designs on all fronts, but very expensive to match. And Microsoft should be pushing hard on making all their products work well together.
Surface Laptop without USB-C is seriously inexcusable at this point. I like the all black finish though.
The Surface Studio 2 looks like porn, so beautiful. I wonder if you could play some games at acceptable settings on this thing.
Headphones: I really like the adjustable noise cancellation 'dial', but at this price point I would expect the latest blue-tooth version and a longer battery life (or the ability to turn off Cortana). I don't suppose you're able to switch the battery easily? That's a feature I really appreciate in my Beoplay H7.

Ah. I can see how that'll make wireless connection difficult :P
>replacing the x230I'm still rockin' my Thinkpad x230 but if i upgrade, this is probably my next machine.
Nice! Hope you enjoy it.Just placed my pre-order for an i5 8GB Surface Pro 6 with 256GB SSD.
I opted for the black finish, mostly because I'm bored of seeing so many SP3 and SP4 models out and about. Looks like the i5 is fanless again, just like 2017.
I'm typing this on my i5 4GB Surface Pro 4 which has punched above its weight and served me well for 3 years. The lack of new ports on the new machines is disappointing, but I'm currently using the Surface Dock so I greatly appreciate the magnetic connector there.
They'll add thunderbolt when the new Intel chips that have more PCIE lanes ship, which will be either late next year or early 2020, I imagine.
They killed off all 32-bit app support on iOS and people were arguing in favor of it.Not gonna lie, wasn't there to see it, but I can imagine a manufacturer doing that in modern day, it would be suicide.
That's far from a guarantee and people are going to be disappointed if they think that Geekbench results, which Apple reviewers keep using for some reason, are representative of real-world performance across multiple operating systems.Apple is ditching Intel for their own A series ARM CPU in about a year and a half for Macs.
They did have backwards compatibility, but it was painfully slow and I was basically forced to upgrade from Creative Suite 2 to CS3 (if I recall correctly) which was not a small expense. How did the BC work out with the G5 to Intel Core transition eh? Exactly.
I can see it happening for the MacBook, not the Pros. They aren't going split the hardware base into two for long. They will make the A series the ONLY Apple CPUs very quickly.
I'll probably wait until next year to pick up a new Surface Pro, since the 2019 version is reportedly going to be a major design overhaul.
They support Thunderbolt, but only via the Surface Connector and an expensive adapter.
'Reporters' said the Surface Pro would get a major design rehaul every year since 2015. The launch of the Surface Go solidifies their commitment to this line IMO.I'll probably wait until next year to pick up a new Surface Pro, since the 2019 version is reportedly going to be a major design overhaul.

I could have sworn that they did, but looking into it I can only find a USB-C adapter, not a Thunderbolt-capable adapter. They do? As far as I was aware the surface dock only has displayports, and the usb-c adapter does at least not support thunderbolt 3
the tune from the trailer got stuck in my head, so i made a loop to use it as a ring tone.

I concur. My only data point is the 3500€ Surface Book 2 I bought for work. It promptly shit the bed and the discrete GPU stopped working properly during some update. Could be a firmware problem as a Windows reset failed to fix it. I haven't braved MS customer support yet but will soon. The service before, during and after purchasing the system was bad. Clearly here in Finland Microsoft has no idea how to deal with individual professional customers and no idea how to sell hardware. Maybe my machine will end up getting fixed somehow, but I would be extremely happy if the outcome here was getting the money back, TBH.I don't know why anyone would willingly buy Surface hardware any more given their track record. They've had six years at this now and things don't seem to be getting any better.
Despite making both the hardware and the OS, these devices do not have the tight integration that Apple products do, and you're better off buying other hardware if you want to use Windows.
When I bought my SP4 it was on a whim to see if I might use it for drawing. I eventually sold my main PC and it became my only computer, so it gets used with Unity, Blender, Affinity Designer and others. That 4GB RAM and storage hurts though so it's time to treat myself.Nice have the surface 4 I7 8GB and has served me well. I'm still amazed how fast it still is. Never had issues with it. Post pics once you gets it. Love the black!
Yeah, I've got an older Surface 3 (the first cheapish Surface they made), and I couldn't be happier with the design. Very sturdy, full sized USB is great, and I even bought the dock for it to connect it to my TV (could have just gotten the cable, but the dock was like 90% off and includes an Ethernet cable and extra USBs).Man I mostly use Apple products, but the Surface line looks so fucking gorgeous.
I want them all lol.

My only problem is that the space bar on the keyboard cover I got for it (bought it used since they're out of production on my model) is a little wonky, have to press it in the right spot for it to register.
Do I wait til Surface Book 3 are announced? When can we expect those?
