He's a really endearing villain that's been woefully underexplored, I want to know more about his empire and race. At least give them an official name instead of "Freeza's race".

Cool gaze and hot heart, it's the rumoured nice guy Yamcha.

I was also a big fan of the Pilaf gang so future Mai was totally my jam in the Goku Black stuff.

Then Gohan, I guess.

Beerus. Love his design and concept... in the movie at least. Too bad Goku will always be escalating in power, rendering his concept and point in the movie pointless.

Piccolo was the best villain and gave us Goku's best fight. Then he became the ultimate good guy thanks to Gohan.
Videl was obviously wasted but that short high school arc is still one of my favorites in the saga.
Lunch I can't really explain. I just find her funny.
Bulma is there mostly because of the closing credits of Dragonball that look like they're from an entirely different show centered around her that I would love to watch one day, it looks awesome:



There are different versions of it with her getting slightly older in each one.

His character design and personality do it for me.

I feel like Trunks was made to lure the girls in and boy did it work on me ...

Majin Vegeta will always be my #1.

Piccolo's been my fave since I first saw DBZ, and he'll probably always be my fave.

GOAT

The God of all Saiyans. I liked the different dimensions of his character since he was introduced in DBZ. There's the pure evil Vegeta from the first saga, then he grows into the prideful anti-hero role, and then eventually the selfless, settled, and heroic Vegeta we see in Super. Vegeta has also been apart of some of the best moments in the franchise.

Vegeta. I do dislike how he's always chasing Goku, who has the power of titular character on his side. Vegeta is a much better rounded character.

Absolutely hate Fat Buu and Mr.Satan though. Hate, hate, hate.

To be honest, the only characters that annoyed me in DBZ were more like side characters like Yamcha.

Broly because he was never beat in a fair fight and his power really was maximum

Androids 17 & 18 because I was a kid when they first showed up and I was like "he's cool and she's pretty." Then they kicked Vegeta and co's ass and I was like "he's cooler and she's prettier and also cool."

They were also the highlights of Super.

Vegeta for sure, it's a shame ol' Geets always gets done dirty though. Especially in Super, every time he gets a great moment it's followed instantly by him getting his shit kicked. That pummeling he gave Black needed more time to breath :(

Piccolo and pre-Buu saga Gohan are tied for second though. Piccolo developing from the most terrifying villain to the best father figure in the show was great to see and Hellzone Grenade is one of my all time favourite attacks in the show. Gohan's build up to SS2 was also just some of the best parts of the show.

Specifically for Super though I really liked Hit, even though his introduction fight kinda sucked. Super in general falls into a hole of "the person I'm fighting randomly got more powerful because reasons" which DBZ never really did and it is a lot weaker for it, Hit is one of the most egregious examples of this in his first fight with Goku. His second fight is a lot better though and I like him a lot as a character.

I also liked Jiren. He's barely a character but I think it's just because he doesn't fall into Super's "the person I'm fighting randomly got more powerful because reasons" hole. Jiren is OP from the start. Rather than his power-ups feeling bullshit, anyone even landing a blow on him feels a bit bullshit. He's a walking wall for the characters and honestly I loved that he didn't have a gimmick, I remember as Super was airing talking in the OT on here and lots of us assumed Jiren would have some kind of gimmick as to why he was so strong and that would be his downfall but no, he's just fucking STRONG.

Fuck GT tho.

I'm only up to the Android Saga in my first Kai run, but I really like this guy, the friendly unnamed guide who drives a car in the afterlife and has really cool trousers



And the Ginyu force because the theme informs me that the 'GINYU FORCE RULES'

Bonus shout out to Toppo's moustache. Toppo is kinda lame but his moustache is the best.

Krillin. I love him and I always will. The episodes in Super where he goes to train with Goku with Roshi are my favourite episodes of the entire show.
