Price wont be the issue....at least on my end.I sank many hours into this years ago. But I think I got it for $1 or $2. What are they going to charge for the Switch version? I'm guessing it'll be too much
First glimpse of the UI. Apparently Dungeon Village is coming as well, all three of them next week.
This was pretty much how it worked for me. Game Dev Tycoon did a much better job of smoothing out the difficulty, although I still don't know how reviews work in that game. It's a great game, but a little over-simplistic. Once you get your groove after you've got about half a million in the bank provided you don't over-extend yourself it's plain sailing until you're making hundreds of millions and then billions. The only real way they complicate it is through cheap ideas like blackouts. Been replaying it recently on my phone and it's very addictive in the short term but can't keep me engaged over longer periods.
Not sure, the news was just announced 5 minutes ago.
Thanks!Updated thread title per OP's request. Had to do a little fiddling to get it all in under the character limit.
WELLLLLLL
Great surprise!
US/EU Release date the same as Japan!
It's the 21st title!
Nah I think it's been out on phones for ages.
It sounds dumb but I was worried it'd be vertical. So glad that it'a got full wide screen support on the Switch. I've put maybe 20-30 hours into GDS over the years, once we know price I'll decide if I want to dip again.First glimpse of the UI. Apparently Dungeon Village is coming as well, all three of them next week.
Yes, this is also something I wanted since I had some discomfort just reading the text while holding my phone in portrait mode.
Darn!
Slight correction, it was the other way around.A little disappointed that Hot Springs story is the third game but we'll probably be inundated with them soon.
I think my favorite is still MegaMall Story, so good. It's like Tiny Tower if it didn't suck.
It might be a sequel, considering they have ++ in the logo.
Someone said the ++ was added to the original Ios/Android ports in Japan. It might be a sequel, considering they have ++ in the logo.
This is why I updated the OP post, so people can start theorycrafting.
We played the game back on Android Gingerbread and iPhone 3 and iPhone 4 (not iPhone 4S) at the time.

I don't think you understood what I said. I mean how did y'all know about it then?We played the game back on Android Gingerbread and iPhone 3 and iPhone 4 (not iPhone 4S) at the time.
Noooooooooo, theorycrafting debunked??
At the time when the app, Game Dev Story, was released, there was no eye-catching title than this. There was no games anywhere with the title "Game Dev" on Android Market (at the time it was called). The moment I see that it's listed as a game, it's a simulation genre, and it has "Game Dev" in the title, I thought, why not, just play the demo version. The demo version is free for up to 5 minutes in-game, enough to experience what it was like to start a company, hire an employee, and publish a game.
Dungeon Village or Hot Springs Story should be up your alley then. I don't expect much to be really honest. Will buy if it has new content.
Like, real new. I gotta check, might e bought the majority of the kairosoft games, but haven't really bothered over the past few.
I think their recent ones was the car game, and the town one with some awful pay mechanic or timers. Can't remember, but I dropped it fairly quick.
Oh, so it came out, with the price tags and et. al? Updating OP, but if anyone else is able to tell me the MSRP in your respective regions, hit me up.These have popped up in the coming soon section of the Australian eShop. Game Dev Story is shitloads more expensive than the mobile version ($15 AUD compared to $3.50). No mention of any new content.
