La Stella was up in the same situation right before the Nationals game 5 collapse last year, right? Catcher's interference started that whole thing?

ESPN trying to publicly shame Kyle Freeland who just pitched the game of his life should be ashamed. What the hell is wrong with the producers

Didn't think La Stella glove interference was a "gift" at all. He's a much better hitter in clutch than Heyward, and may have been putting a game-tying swing on the ball. Maddon picked lowest batting average in mlb history for bases loaded after him

I finally got fed up with it and changed it back to the main broadcast. The massive bottom bar was bad enough. Then they pull that split screen shit. A smarter booth is not worth a tiny screen.

Chicago
First game I've ever questioned Joe's decisions.

Thats three choices in three innings i didnt get.

Lester hasnt looked better all year
LaStella for Bote was idiotic and Rockies made him look smart.
Chavez already out despite being the best relief pitcher since we got him.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also, espn's production is trash.
Arod chewing on his mic, delayed camera switches, missed plays, wrong strikeout stats, first base camera for a pitch, Mendoza after a few years of doing this STILL talks over everyone.

The 3d k zone is also shit but thats an entire research paper

Guys. Where's Freeland? It's been, like, fifteen seconds and they haven't shown his face. I'm starting to worry he might've been kidnapped or something.

How can Joe Maddon plainly pick Heyward, when the stat "lowest batting avg mlb postseason, over 100ab" pops up. For bases loaded?? Its ridiculous

Also, I would have never taken Freeland out

To be fair their worst bullpen guy pitched yesterday in the 8th (Kintzler) although I would consider him mostly a National. Dude had a 7+ ERA for the Cubs lol

I have been saying this shit about Joe Maddon for years.

this catcher is... awful. He can't receive anything
eh, as a Twins fan that Butera was a member of for a couple years, he is a really good defensive catcher. pitcher's stuff was all over the damn place, lots of movement and nowhere near where drew was lined up. seems like a tough guy to catch. interference is rare but might have been trying to adjust to the pitches or something
