Sleeping less than 6-7 hours per night. I feel awful, I know I'm killing my brain cells and fucking up my health, but I have this horrible, irrational feeling that sleeping is lost time. I didn't have this problem (could sleep 14h and feel great, now sleeping 5h is a luxury) until I started my first serious job, so I think it might be correlated to this.

Yup. Same here. I never had trouble sleeping until I started working day jobs, at which point every single minute of not-at-work time became a precious commodity not to be wasted. Now I get three to five hours of sleep a night and it's killing me.

Of course, if I had a job that didn't suck my fucking soul out and make me feel like my life is draining away into the abyss, I wouldn't need to stay up late just to feel like my existence has a point. But actual good jobs seem impossible to find nowadays.

Got a super sedentary job as I work from home. Try to walk or bike every day tho

I eat too much salt on my food. I rarely eat food without it. I know it's good how much I eat but without it food just taste so bland.

Also alcohol...I'm drinking way too much now and it's becoming a problem. I wish I could stop.

I leave my contacts in for weeks/months. heard all the stories but still yet to have an issue.
You never take them out to clean them or you keep use them for longer than you're meant to? Do you regularly visit your optician for check up?

I used to wear contacts. I'd buy ones you could wear for a month but I'd use them for two months. I just made sure to clean them out every day.

I stopped wearing them because I wore them a lot more than my optician recommended and they told me that my eyes were a lot drier and I can't remember what it was called but they said my eyes were getting worse. Just noped right out of it there and then and went back to glasses which I need to wear all the time now. Previously it was only for TV/driving but everything beyond a few feet is a blur now.

I might not treat my body well but my eyes and ears I don't wanna fuck around with.

I love pizza way too much. Scratch my legs too much, Q tip my ears, also now that it's October all this Halloween candy is way too readily available and I have no self control.

I've done check ups yearly and there has been no change in eye sight, concern for dryness or issues with the tonometry test. I know it is a stupid thing not to do on my part but i get annoyed as hell putting them in when i wake up. so def. lazy/nothing bad will ever happen to me mentality.

but yes, i really shouldn't screw with my eyes and stop being a baby about it.

I use a chef's caramelizing torch to shave my head. The tiny hairs instantly burn and shrivel to ash which I then brush off with my hand. I assume a lot of people use this method but I can't do it in the car on the way to work because it smells awful.

This is a post as memorable as the microwaving pepper candy thread. I always had this fear of my hair catching on fire since hair burns so quickly! (And human spontaneous combustion too, that stuff is nightmare fuel).

The worst part is when my eyes are SORE and I want to sleep so bad but it's like 10 pm and I feel I need to "spend" two more hours with "something" and "not miss out stuff" and don't go to bed. Obviously it is never worth the price of feeling horrible for the next 20 hours. Especially since I need to wake up at 4:30 am it's obvious this is incredibly harmful. In the end I think the only way is forcing yourself to go keeping the benefits in mind. And use medication or other calming techniques if really necessary.

Drink all the water with all the spices and everything from instant noodle soups.

That stuff you're talking about is called "soup" and you are supposed to consume it. And outside of sodium, it's not bad for you. The noodles that you so gleefully slurp are dried by deep frying them. That cake of dried noodles, is actually a cake of deep fried carbohydrates.

Diet, 100%. I've done a great job cutting out sugar, but the high fat/salt/cholesterol meals I can't seem to kick.

I'm skinny so getting "fat" was never an issue, but I do worry about my blood pressure/heart. Had a physical last month and doctor said everything looks great, but I know that if I don't kick the habit soon, it'll catch up to me eventually.

I've been over-arching my back when doing squats at the gym.

In all seriousness, my nightly whiskey snack probably isn't the best, but it's my treat after a long day of work and getting three kids into bed.

Shampoo every day
Q tips in ear (I try to be careful but I know there's no way to do it 100% safely)
Browse Era on my cell phone before I go to bed, and again when I wake up. I can feel my phone torching my eyes on wake-up even with a blue light filter. IDGAF, I need to know in what ways the world has gone to shit since I went to sleep.

I really, really need to stop doing the last one though. I have shit eyes and that shit is really bad for you in the long run.

Drink copious amounts of tequila. The pre-workout I drink has deer antler velvet and who knows what else in it.
