I really hope companies don't do the cross gen thing again. Wasn't it said that all the cross gen stuff this time around didn't sell hardly at all on ps3/360? Why go through this again and hamstring your games with old tech?

Not a Potter fan but I guess this is great for those that are.

I just really hope this isn't what Rocksteady has been working on the last few years.

Unless there is something better I'm not seeing. This footage doesn't seem like anything that couldn't run on current gen hardware. Looks like a decent, but not even mindblowing, current gen game (it IS pretty though, just not sure its ps5 launch pretty).

I already sold my PS4 since everything releasing moving forward will be re-released on PS5, based on previous experiences.

Just saw this on Press Start.

I really hope this is legit, but Crucio me if old or fake.

Edit: Most likely Avalanche Software (not Avalanche Studios or Rocksteady)
This is 100% Avalanche Software. Yesterday, while I was reporting on Studio Gobo announcing their partnership with WB, I noticed that on the games tab on their website, they had concept art from what looked like a Harry Potter game. Funny enough too, their previous client's game was Disney Infinity, which happens to be made by Avalanche Software. I'll screen cap a picture for you.

It's not Rocksteady's game. The Avalanche theory makes sense. That studio sure has been through a lot over the past couple of years.

Yeah this has got to be real. An off camera shot of the entire reveal trailer and now WB has taken it down. Love it.

There are many next generation titles deep into development. As in not a small amount

This is far from the last next gen title you will be seeing in the near future

sounds like companies are trying to avoid another lackluster early generation like this time around.

I remember NBA 2k14 being the most played title this generation as that first year was pretty bad after launch

To be fair it'll probably be different this time around. Last gen desperately needed an upgrade and the market was down so when the new generation started everybody jumped to it almost immediately. Also, most launch window games start their development during the previous generation they are held back either way. Finally, this time around transition is going to be a lot smoother.

The Danger Zone
Safe to say Universal is gonna be loving the extra traffic at the theme park now.

Wizarding World and Nintendo World are gonna outlive every other attraction at this point.

Thanks to everyone for the links, looks really good, especially the battle scene in the big hall and the bridge reconstructing. Sounds like it's at least a 2020 title.

They're doing it. You know that.

Yeah :\. I just hope the first 2 years of next gen don't suck as much as this one did. I don't think these companies are as bullish on consoles overall as they were back then so maybe it won't, but so much being cross gen really hurt some games.

Which cross gen titles didnt sell?

I don't know specifically it was only a comment I saw on here recently. I don't remember if it was from Benji or some other insider, I don't want to put words in someone's mouth unless I can find the actual post again.
