Dude.. there are Xbox buttons in this leak lol, if anything it could be an Xbox exclusive if we're going on that info alone, but it's most likely multiplat.
They probably didn't want to have to include any well-known characters in the story. To make it seem fresh.
This looks nice and all - but i simply can't get over the fact that we're playing as kids and killing is a big no-no.
Like, doesn't the entirety of Harry Potter's combat (at least for the good guys) revolve around disarming and petrifying your enemies. That's rather tame.
And i did see that they're burying those goblins under rocks, and even impaling them with a piece of wooden door - How is that allowed?
It feels somewhat weird trying to shoe-horn combat gameplay into a rather innocent children's franchise.
What i'm trying to say is mostly: They need to do a good job trying to get the tone right. (Both in relation narrative <--> gameplay, but also "narrative + gameplay" <--> "the potterverse in its entirety")

I have to be 100% honest. This looks incredible, but I am relieved that it isn't what Rocksteady is working on. I really want more superhero games
That kinda worries me since Avalanche Software doesn't have the best history. Here's hoping they are trying to do what Spiderman Ps4 did for Harry Potter
Man I was hyped that this was the rocksteady game. Avalanche is... Best you can hope for is good, not great.
An AAA Potter universe rpg by a great studio would have been delicious. Instead, we will get some dumb Superman game, where you fly around a boring ass city getting shot by all types of "krytonite enhanced because reasons" bad guys.
Unlike Gotham metropolis doesn't really have any specific character, it's just off-brand New York.

This looks and sounds amazing. The fact the franchise hasn't received a game with solid talent behind it yet has always blown my mind. Yet somehow there are still people hating on it. This is large franchise that has received the worst treatment in regards to its games. Let the fans be happy.

Gotham City is an off-brand Chicago my dude, Metropolis has its own landmarks you're probably just unaware of.
This game. People were waiting for an AAA Harry Potter game since forever.
Am I wrong though? What will make it different from Spiderman's New York? I actually like some Superman related stuff, I just don't think it will make for an interesting game. We have an infinite amount of open-world city games, whereas a cozy victorian era rpg that isn't 100% grimdark doesn't exist. A fairly reasonable opinion imo, but i guess you do make a valid point.

I'm talking about aesthetics and mood. Gotham city isn't like real life Chicago, whereas Metropolis is an enhanced New York.

But yeah, I understand maybe the story isn't for you, but look into the first book to totally make up your mind.

I'd agree with that. To be honest, a superman game would be stupidly hard to make enjoyable. Let alone interesting game play wise. Unless you make it cosmic.
