finished building BB8 today, lots of cool techniques to make the details and I'm a big fan of his wobbly head. The only thing I'd change is having the 'thumbs up' mechanism close the front when it goes back in.

That 20% off on Lego on the ToysRUs store front on Rakuten.com is back. BF20 is the code. Caterham for <$45!

Finally got orders thru on LEGO SAH US. The site seems to be working ok now.

Got an order at Rakuten as well. hard to resist discounted sets with their stacked 20% off promo. Very happy with my haul , probably won't be as happy once I see my new account balance lol.

I think aside from those ridiculous desires that will never be part of this sale (Ninjago City, etc) I'm really only hoping for the Ferrari. Heard it might be on sale in the US so hoping there's a chance for the EU/UK too. Will probably just end up with Big Ben in the end though.

Can't believe there's still been no modular reveal!

just said fuck it and caved and bought Ninjago City from the lego store site for full price. I only buy 1 Lego set a year (just started the hobby last year with the kwiki mart simpsons set). The free gifts and the vip points are nice, I'm also getting the free keychain for joining vip. Can't wait for this to arrive, I won't be building for another month but It'll be nice to stare at the box lol.

I don't know much about Lego when it comes to deals, but I do check the prices of the Creator Expert sets every few months and those sets rarely, if ever, go on sale. What are the chances of this set getting a discount in the near future?

Ninjago City is right on top of my most wanted list (Second only to The Disney Castle)

As tempting as it is to get it right now (Or even next month with the double VIP) my backlog is ridiculous!

I'm halfway through the Kwik-E-Mart and have The Old Fishing Store, Destiny's Bounty, The Silent Mary, The Batcave Break-In and the Millennium Falcon to crack on with once I'm done.
Oh, and I bought the Brick Bank in the sale yesterday.

Who needs money?

Death Star down to £327. Ouch. Still not finished mine ffs. Though at least I got triple points so it's not soooo bad.

I kind of wish I got a VIP keyring when I joined all those years ago when it was brand new. :(

A local supermarket had the BB-8 for 72€...and I still got 25€ back in coupons to use later. So, 47€. Pretty good!

I missed Simpsons House. Had it in my cart over and over again last night when the checkout was broken. Now it's out of stock.

Still hoping Ninjago City gets a discount on the Lego Store over the weekend!

If Death Star got a discount , Ninjago City is possible right?

20%-30% would be perfect!

Does anyone know if Lego Store offers price match if you recently purchased a set at full price that has just received a discount?

Always worth an ask - I've always found their customer service to be super helpful.
Twice now I've ordered stuff before a promotion began (Once for a free gift and the other for double VIP points) and I got both given to me after talking to them!

Their T+Cs explicitly state that they don't, but it can't hurt to ask anyway.

"Specific LEGO® sets will be discounted from 23rd to 27th November 2017 at shop.LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores. This discount cannot be applied to previous purchases or combined with any other discount, offer or free gift. Individual order limits apply per set."

not really. a brand new set that's been out for a few months vs what is essentially a set that's been out for several years already with some slight tweaks, dropped temporarily to the price it was before the refresh.

Argh. I went to two toyshops. One had 25% off everything and had Assembly Square, Temple of Ninjago and Brick Bank, but I didn't quite want them enough (a second copy in the case of the modulars). The other had B2G1, and I had Vacation Getaway and the larger house but couldn't find a third set that I wanted at a similar price, and if you pick something much smaller it's not as good a saving. So I ended up with nothing.

On the other hand, the money saved COULD go towards something else. S@H is doing three more days, right?

Which country are you in?

In the UK you could return your old one and keep the new one provided it was only 14 days ago. Since all the boxes are identical anyway it wouldn't matter that you were actually returning the new one if you've already built the old one.

[UK] LEGO Dimensions are all BOGOF at Argos. Not sure if this is a good deal or if in time they'll totally bomb in price due to the game being dead. Depends how much stock is still out there, I guess.

Could be a risk waiting, could be silly not to wait...

I mentioned it before but just as a reminder that free Lego tote bag on offer again is actually a really nice bag. It's pretty big and and nice thick material used. I would definitely use it as a beach bag if I went to the beach.

I'm really disappointed that this hasn't made it to the UK, as it does look like a really nice freebie. Been coveting it ever since I saw it.

Anyone in the states bite on Hoth set at $175?

I'm not doing it out of spite since I didn't get the Simpsons House. I looked it over again and decided it just wasn't compelling even at $175.

True true. Hoth sets come and go for the Star Wars line. I think I'm going to pass.

I'm not big into star wars but I do follow what resellers think on various sets to help decide how to prioritize when to get sets without going completely broke. This Hoth set just doesn't seem to be a "good" one for those who actually like the theme. It will also most likely see another price drop, so no harm waiting imo.
I know resellers picked up a few of these but only in modest quantities, they don't seem to be concerned about availability of the set and seem to think it will get cheaper before it "retires".

PSA :D

LEGO Boost got app update for
a) Amazon Kindle tablets (some of the cheapest tablets with OK quality out there - Fire 7 (2017); Fire HD 8 (2015-17), Fire HD 10 (2015/17))
b) Windows 10 PCs (what else to say, considering the related WeDo could use Windows, it should have been there from start)
https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/device-guide/boost

Plus LEGO Store page states that mobiles should be supported before Xmas "The LEGO® BOOST App ready on mobile in time for Christmas! Go to www.LEGO.com/devicecheck for more details."

Announced just in time for Boost to be on sale in (European ) LEGO Stores/Shop on 27th :D

Non Architecture LEGO sets are BOGO 50% off at BN stores this weekend, and the member discount stacks on top. Abuse it by getting Destiny's Bounty and Old Fishing Store together for dirt cheap.

On a different note, I had build a simple induction/reed switch motor for one of my classes using mostly LEGO parts. Well, today I built a gear box to go around it and got enough torque and power out of it to actually power the Carousel. I was laughing like a maniac when it started working.
