I'd call that store cause that is a dick move.
*shrug* Best Buy will just lose a sale. I'll see if the local mom & pop by my work gets it in and buy it from them instead. They always sell games for a few dollars lower than big box stores. It's not quite the GCU discount, but whatever.

It's not like I don't have plenty to play right now anyways, between having just gotten Dragon Ball FighterZ on Switch and Mega Man 11 dropping tomorrow.

Man I think I want PSVR now. Got Re7 and wanna get this...isit worth it? Or will it just collect dust?

It's worth it for RE7 alone. It also has Wipeout and Skyrim in VR which is great. Also if you like shooters then you have Firewall which is a 4v4 tactical multiplayer shooter. I should also add that PSVR is a must for horror fans. There's loads of games to get.

Whats the 'big screen' mode for non-VR titles like? Is it just like playing games on a big movie screen? Or like a 100inch HDTV locked to your point of view?

Now I'm mad I left my PSVR at home. I so want to play this. It wouldn't be a problem if my home isn't 2000 miles away.

In theory, it's like being in a theatre and playing a game on a movie screen that you're sitting a little too close too.

In practice, the resolution is too low and the headset just isn't comfortable enough to make it worthwhile. I've tried it.

Amazing that Sony is taking inspiration in one of the best game designs ever. I still don't think this is Mario material only because it takes way less risks. Mario games are defined by disposable ideas. Every idea has the lifespan of 1. It seems AstroBot takes a more conservative approach. Still great though. I wish I'd won a VR in a raffle or whatever.

I'd say like a movie screen. Only small screen locks your view.

Thanks. Well that doesn't change the fact that I need to get one. I'm curious to try it out on a bunch of games to be honest. Like Rocket League, that could be cool.

I hope we get a bunch of old Sony mascot's reborn on PSVR. Obviously lots of thought needs to go into game design. But wrapping these kind of mechanics up in games featuring Crash, Ratchet etc. would be great.

My review is live. 9/10. It's absolutely outstanding:

I'm happy to answer questions if anyone has any.

Great review, thanks. Can i ask, why is it a 9 and not a 10? Are there things to improve? I guess the game could be longer..? I'm a bit surprised you dont really talk about the controller interaction (or maybe i missed it), like the nunshuks and stuff, is that a fun part of it or becomes boring after a while?

A genuine shame that so many of the major publications are passing up the opportunity to write a review for this game just because it's VR. Maybe they'll see the light over the coming days and more reviews will trickle in.

Fingers crossed Astro Bot sells well. I can easily see this becoming a PlayStation franchise for PSVR going forward, it certainly has the charm and quality of a franchise in the making.

More moves for Astro Bot and more gadgets for the Virtual DS4, could make a sequel even better than this already awesome game.

The bigger issue for cinema mode is the low FoV imo. You don't really have any peripheral vision since the lens blurs the screen if you're not looking at the center. Moving your head to see the entire screen is annoying

Ya, the big publications are not going to have top priority of a game on a 3 million users platform at this point.

Does this have an OT? I haven't seen one.

I pre ordered this on PSN and I only see the soundtrack..... Do I have to wait to actually download the game instead of just unlocking it?

The OT is being worked on according to the PSVR OT in Hangouts. So hopefully won't be too long before it's up.

Not sure about the download though, I went physical as it was £10 cheaper.

Still a bit confused why I have Astro Bot rescue mission SOUNDTRACK waiting to be unlocked and seemingly not.... the game.

Anyone else just pre order off PSN and only have the icon for the soundtrack and not the game?

This is great. From day 1 anyone who played VR worlds could tell that rescue robots would make a fantastic full title. And here we are.

Totally agree. I know there's a lot of meh indies out there for VR but you would expect them to at the very least cover the bigger games. I hope they'll learn from their mistakes (for Tetris Effect and Déraciné).

You get a choice of view sizes. It's interesting, and it is different, for anyone who doesn't have a really big screen they sit really close to. But there are compromises, chiefly the low res. I personally didn't find it to be an issue, because the game just starts to take over.

It actually really helped my enjoyment of The Last Guardian, for instance. Although the view wasn't 3D, the fact the screen was so damn big really pulled me into the world of this small boy and this giant beast. And then again I was wearing headphones, instead of TV audio... So even without VR, wearing the headset can bring benefits to immersion.

But I'd still never describe it as a selling point, just an additional offering. One thing I was really keen to try though, and never did, was 3D Blu-ray ...
