Yes! I'm so glad it reviewed well. I loved Robot Rescue, but I want VR to succeed, and nothing boasts legitimacy than a really good application of a medium.

Cannot wait to play this!

Not surprised by the great reviews, the demo was awesome, so a full game would only be even more awesome. I very much look forward to my physical copy arriving any day now. :)

Too many games tomorrow!

I definitely need to check this out. I loved the mini game that came with the psvr.

Wow; it's 89 on Metacritic now! Would be awesome if it cracks 90. I hope the development team are getting a big fat bonus and free reign on whatever they want to do next.

Is this a fully Sony-funded title or is it likely to come to other platforms at some point?

It's developed by Sony's Japan Studio. This won't be anywhere but Playstation.

Just a quick reminder that this game is about 10x more charming/fun to play inside VR than judging based on flat youtube videos. It's gonna be a real treat, this one.

Stand out demo on the PSVR demo disk so glad they were able to flesh out the game. I will definitely pick this up once I am back home later this month.

Makes me wish I had a headset, but it's just too much for one game alone.

I knew this was going to be huge, but from the demo I played in playroomVR to the demo I tried at Insomnia63 its like night and day. So much evolved.

Great scores so far, as expected.

I'm out of town this week but I'll be snagging this as soon as I return.

EDIT: Ya'll are letting one troll derail the thread. Check his post history if you'd like and then put him on ignore.

I'll need to pick this up sooner than later, what with RDR2 coming up later this month. Also excited to have another VR game the whole family can play. Wipeout was the last one I bought, and it was just too much for the rest of the household. If we can get Beat Saber and Golem (finger-crossed it's good) before the end of the year, I'll consider it a solid year for PSVR.

I was very interested in this after reading a lot of great things....but....The trailer actually looks horrendous, in the minute and a half the music already got to my nerves. Looks like that free VR game that had many minigames with robots...is this from this series?

I will wait for a discount.

I hugely applaud Sony for its support for VR though, PS4 is my VR machine these days and I appreciate their work, despite PSVR not being a huge success.

SM64 had an incredible impact on the industry. Astro Bot is going to be another niche game with 50K sales.

If you didn't tie your identity to products like Mario 64 you'd actually understand what the journalists were saying when comparing Astro Bot to the game. They weren't talking about sales or metacritic or even overall impact on the industry.

But, but, but...

Thumper
Rez infinite
Tetris Effect
Deracine
Superhot
RE7
Wipeout
Beat sabre

Not interested in any of those?

Damn, I kinda regret selling my headset after farpoint. I have to resist getting another tomorrow.

Why are the SM64 comparisons so offensive to people? we don't have enough 3D platformers around, let alone VR platformers. We should be celebrating this game's achievements.
