I was at B&N earlier today and noticed there was a First Order Star Destroyer in the 50% clearance bin, making it 80? bucks which i assume is a huge steal. Im not that into Lego beyond some specific things (like Voltron) but figured any of you lusting after a Star Destroyer might want to check your local B&Ns. I know their clearances are extremely YMMV, but worth a shot to save that much $
Damn, I'd probably get it at that price and I barely even get any Star Wars LEGOs these days.I was at B&N earlier today and noticed there was a First Order Star Destroyer in the 50% clearance bin, making it 80? bucks which i assume is a huge steal. Depends on what color scheme you want, etc.I need some help. I'm looking to build my own MOC modular building (a bakery theme), what would be a good set to get the bricks to start with? I was thinking of getting another one of the existing sets together with 31077 Modular Sweet Surprises to get started. Any ideas welcome :D
Tower Bridge gives you tons of great things for modulars such as SNOT pieces, tiles, beams, and windows. The set is a true embarrassment of riches for MOC parts.Hmm I have an unopened tower bridge but I don't think I have the heart to use it as a parts pack. I guess the problem with using existing modular sets is that it would give me a similar looking facade?
Tower Bridge. What would be a good set to strip for parts to make modular dungeons for tabletop rpgs ?
I'm mostly looking for grey tones though :/Tower Bridge.
Seriously, it is great for so many things. Tons of very useful pieces for buildings, and in large quantities to boot. Also comes with 5 half baseplates (16x32)

Ah. Hmm. There is a decent amount of great in there though. But as for a set with lots of grey for walls and stuff, Ghostbusters HQ mainly comes to mind but would have to check that.

Not sure. Will have to think.
What level of detail?I basically want to do 8x8 and 16x8 pieces that I can put together to make modular dungeons, with some (optional) furniture.
Low detail in the beginning (maybe a brown brick here and there to change the pattern a bit) and more details later on when I get my hands on more bricks. What level of detail?
Suddenly had the idea of using the latest chess set.
I can only think of Star Wars ships or, if you mostly want normal bricks, some Minecraft sets (which could also give you useful items like chests, torches, ladders, spiders, etc.)
Minecraft is a good idea, but they are expensive as hell. Will see what I can find!I can only think of Star Wars ships or, if you mostly want normal bricks, some Minecraft sets (which could also give you useful items like chests, torches, ladders, spiders, etc.)

But all your post is telling me is you should buy a second Tower Bridge. One to build, one to strip for parts.
Ghostbusters HQ is a great parts pack, but pricey
Just me who thinks this is eighteen months too late?
I feel like LEGO reacts to things too late sometimes, and Overwatch is one of them...
Saying that, I am still looking forward to seeing what they have done though!

You have no idea. You know what, stuff like this would be great to create some 'locations' for mecha toy/modelling photos. Oh no. I'm in trouble aren't I.
I did some more searching and saw this beauty

Tower bridge it is!
That's the spirit!
Interestingly, the Trooper figure is Athex, from the Secrets of the Empire VR game!
75251 Darth Vader's Castle revealed!
The set costs $129.00, and is the first ever Amazon-exclusive Lego set (probably replacing the Toys-R-Us exclusive sets?).
I have a soft spot for location license sets, and this one is right up there with the Sanctum Sanctorum for me! It could probably use one or two more figures, though (perhaps Director Krennic, or Vanee, Vader's attended).

I like it, don't see myself getting it though because space though. How many pieces?
Oh, and the magnificent looking treehouse is also going to be a part of the Ideas theme too!

YABADABADOO!
This is the first Ideas submission since the Fisherman's Hut that I was crossing everything to ensure that it was the chosen project for LEGO to build upon and release... and my wish for The Flintstones model has come true!

I have a question why lego not list brick per bag number ?
It would be easy for people who download instruction and order brick from bricklink.
Google express, via Walmart has the Winter Village Train station on sale for $64, plus a 20% off promotion on top of that. Got it for $56
