Kung Fu Hustle is so good. It's crazy that Chow has acted in only one major film since it released 15 years ago. I know he's done a lot of producing and some director only work but it felt like he was on the verge of a western crossover when it hit.
Kung Fu Hustle is, but I think I remember reading that the transfer they used isn't great.

Kung Fu Hustle is on blu and the transfer is great but it is not the uncut version. The uncut version can be found on the UK version and HK version, I think. Shaloin Soccer is on blu but only region 2(UK) for some reason. It includes the extended version.
I didn't even know that SS had an extended cut. Did it add much?

Every time I watch a clip of American Football it looks like the simplest thing in the world cause it is just a guy running with an egg while other dudes are trying to run into him.
And every time I watch a Madden QL it seems like all those cRPGs I've played are a baby stuff compared to everything going on there.

yeah I've clearly already said my thoughts on how it can be a little frustrating that it's framed as if there's 0 games on it beyond indie ports, even this year where I've bought 3x more Vita carts than Switch carts, multiple times, but there's also like
I... don't play a ton of the Western first party Sony stuff so the whole "they should have had big first party teams working on more stuff" criticism has always been kinda alien to me
like... I guess that's what you'd want if you don't want the niche and/or Japanese stuff I have it for, maybe? I understand how that'd have been appealing, but would those have necessarily ever been what you wanted them to be vs having that as a PS3 game, which probably would have been the complaint if they had made more first party Vita games...?

This is the most charming shit. Like someone else said, it's such a bummer Chow kinda stopped after this.
This is great, DBZ popping up in random places really goes to show just how far it has reached.
It's very, very good. Prepare for it to be a little different from season 1.
Yeah, the last thing I remember him doing was that movie with the kid and the alien that wasn't great.
For me at least its always more for the perception that everyone is on deck for the system and its not just one half giving a shit.
Its why i feel the Switch does well even with the 3rd party snafu that its subjected to (although to be fair it doesn't seem as bad compared to the last system) since you know Nintendo will bring their A+ game to the system (which they have done for their dedicated handhelds as well).
Plus we would get good games from it since they Sony does have a knack having good western style games along with the Japanese offering.
Obviously the Vita was out a lot longer but I've definitely used it a lot more than my Switch.

Yeah. I always expected more shit out of him but he just vanished. Even CJ7 doesn't come close to Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle or his old films like The God of Cookery, Fight Back to School, From Beijing with Love & Sixty Million Dollar Man just to name a few.
