A look on the twittersphere tells me Kanye has a lot of "white nerds" in his camp.

The new Kanye West actively courts the MAGA crowd.
I was gonna say... white nerds used to post stupid images with Kanye beside Freddie Mercury or some other dumbass false equivalence, now they just like him because he's a deflection token.

Lmao. He Is no genius and never was.

Do you even listen to hip hop

MAGA ye got all the white nerds coming out of the woodworks claiming Ye is talentless. sickening

Kanye got talent, but so does Roseanne, Louis CK, Bill Cosby and Michael Richards. He deserves to be in the same place as the rest of them, not being given a platform like SNL to espouse his backwards uncle tom ass beliefs.

Kanye doesn't care if people call him an idiot, he only cares when people call him a fatass. Scott Steiner could end Kanye with one promo.

This right here. Talent don't mean shit when you constantly advocate for man that's doing damage to the black community every day. The only person Ye's helping with this maga shit is himself.

This clown needs to go away.

He won't. Let's be real here, him and Kim K were a perfect match because they are both narcissistic, ego driven attention seekers. They know how to play their fan base, they know how to use any attention to their benefit and they know how to stay relevant. Kanye knows the majority of his fan base is loyal to him and will never give him up. And now he's getting into that white nerd/alt/incel demo. He may be a dumbass that thinks every word out of his own mouth is the golden truth instead of a golden shower but he has the talent of manipulation.

Eh, complaining about him is worthless. There will still be a thread here for his next shitty album and people in there will act like this garbage doesnt matter. At this point, if you havent stopped listening to Kanye I dont think anything will stop you, even if he argues in favor of the KKK.

The image speaks the truth, tho.

College Dropout, Late Registration, 808s, MBDTF and Yeezus existing makes the image factually incorrect.

Again, we can talk about how he has fallen off or the fact that he is an asshole without being delusional about his music.

Kanye being one of the most respected and influential artists of this generation is a fact.

Question: If Kanye was institutionalized in the next six months for a serious mental breakdown and it was later found out that he was, has been, suffering from a SERIOUS mental malady/illness of some sort, has been for years, would people carry on with the same "Fuck him." "He's a piece of shit", "fuck off" comments?

I worked in mental health serves from 2007- 2016 and observing Kanye over the last couple year's he often displays very troubling signs of very specific kinds of mental illness. He has even gone on record as having seen "professionals" and it not working out so I'm going to assume, for the sake of these words, that he is not currently in treatment. YES, he is spewing a lot of incoherent and very ignorant things but he has demonstrated very clearly that he is not in his right mind and hasn't been for a while.

So if he were to self-admit or have family/friends force him to get help would people be displaying the total lack of human empathy displayed here? You can reductively say I'm stanning for the man but I do think my background adds some nuance to my thoughts. I think he should be deplatformed/have his microphone taken away but not because I want him to go away/disappear but more I want him to have a manageable life, get better, achieve chemical equilibrium as best he can. Some people like to shout how much they want a progressive, sensitive, inclusive future but many of those people are clearly (as demonstrated here by a few) full of shit. If people don't acknowledge the mentally ill and troubled aren't as equally marginalized as any other group in America than we really will never have a full encompassing nationwide mental health reform.

Trump is clearly mentally ill and he can still go fuck himself. I don't feel bad for assholes with all the money in the world.

From what I understand, he has been institutionalized and does seriously suffer from Bipolar disorder. The problem is his family/friends enable this batshit behavior-- dude doesn't take his bipolar medication and thinks his condition is the lifeblood of his creativity. He's pretty much sending a dangerous message to kids that suffer from things like BPD to embrace it without medical help.

The onus isn't on people saying "fuck him", they are consistent in their intolerance of small-mindedness. Rather, the burden rests on people saying, "he's clearly mentally disturbed", who need to account for how and where this excuse is doled out. How much hate are we willing to excuse as mental illness, and to whom to we extend that luxury?

Nobody on the former side said that people can't be redeemed, either.

There are people in this country suffering from the same mental health conditions that Kanye is, but don't have the money and/or access to proper health care.

Kanye West, on the other hand, has all the money and access for proper treatment. But instead he (and the people who enable him) uses his platform to prop up a man who keeps a growing number of children on the border in cages, and advocates that young black men don't think or properly educate themselves. That shit is harmful, and not just to Kanye.

I have sympathy for Kanye. I've said for years now that the Kanye we're seeing today is the result of sad boy who never properly coped with the loss of his mother. But until he gets real help, that doesn't absolve him of the stupid shit he continues to do.

Why is the onus on everyone but this man? He has the money and access to receive treatment most people can only dream of. I am not going to have empathy for a person that demonizes and shits on me and my ancestors.
