Well it's not like that sort of behaviour from Mercedes is without precedent. What incident from then makes you think otherwise?
Hamilton is not pushing to get over Max, he is waiting for him to pit from a distance. This was a simple championship team order, and this last radio confirmed it.
Yep, his job is now to back Seb into Max.
Bottas doesn't always get the 2nd driver role right, but he is fantastic at holding people up.

I thought the general consensus was that Ferrari should have utilised team orders more often given how slow Raikkonen is.
I don't know why it's so weird that teams use team orders when the championship situation is what it is. Every single team would make the call. if this was the second race of the year it would be different and indicating clear first and second drivers.
Doubt it, but it would be odd either way: Ferrari can barely match Mercedes speed with slipstream and DRS, even if Vettel jumps Lewis, the latter will jump back literally a lap later, no contest. There was no need for this.
It was more about Verstappen holding up everyone. Like we see Hamilton has not pulled away because now he is stuck behind Verstappen.
Sainz is 35s behind Hulkenberg. Vandoorne is 29s behind Alonso. Ricciardo 25s behind Verstappen.
Tbh even if both Mercedes were to retire I would not watch the podium for that alone.
You can see why Ricciardo decided to leave for Renault. After Max got his shit together and didn't do amateur mistakes in races he has been destroying Ricciardo pace wise.
I'm a Ricciardo fan but I have my doubts if he'll beat Hulkenberg. And yeah, Verstappen is clearly the quicker driver.
Well it's easy to say that afterwards, but what I expected wasn't ridiculous at all.
That really is just one side of a much bigger story. Ricciardo beat Max the last seasons, and yet Marko and co. always favoured Verstappen. The treatment Ricciardo got despite outscoring Max was not ideal to put it mildly. There was no way he was staying regardless of the results this year.
To be fair I said it all along :P but with how much faster Mercs are on the straights it was unlikely imho.

The red bull pace in sector 1 and 2 even with new tyres is trash.
I noticed with Ricciardo when he went on the ultra.
Looks like RB maybe burned up all their fuel and battery packs trying to extend the first stint and are now just saving fuel and charging the battery.
