I think Maximum Overdrive was written on the height of his cocaine binging

that one and It

so yes Maximum Overdrive would be the perfect cornball movie

Oh Cocaine absolutely played a part in it

Mental Floss

7. DRUG ADDICTION MAY HAVE PLAYED A PART IN THE FILM'S EXECUTION.

In the mid-1980s, King struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, and was later very frank with how his habitual use of cocaine, Valium, and Xanax impacted his work. He had frequent blackouts and admitted that he doesn't really remember writing Cujo. As for Maximum Overdrive? "The problem with that film is that I was coked out of my mind all through its production, and I didn't know what I was doing," King said.

I just put it on actually. While I finish up some weapons for my next gundam.

There's one tidbit I love about this movie that isn't in the top ten, but there's a scene where a kid is being crushed by a steam roller and apparently during filming of the scene, the dummy they used didn't operate properly. So instead of a nice splat the steamroller acted as pressure on a toothpaste tube and the dummies head exploded and the guts and viscera in it rolled out the neck like toothpaste. It was captured on film too but King and the producers thought it was way too harsh to be kept in the final film.

I so badly want to see that footage back in the movie.

Does abby know that you can buy from different regional eshops using the same credit card?

You don't have to buy a different region eshop credit.

I'm just finishing this 2k Quick Look.

God I wish Alex had the knowledge to let Vinny know just how long/how much it would cost to hit level 91 so you could unlock the ability to get a fucking neck tattoo.

Weeks. Months. Or close to (if not over) $100 worth of VC.

I have 200 hundred hours of game time in 2k18 playing nothing but career mode and I am currently at level 91, even after spending $20 extra dollars on VC.

Is the 2K career mode still a terrible grind? I like basketball create a player modes but I tried to play 2K18 and it was so horrendous I gave up. Battlefront took the brunt of the attention but that game was the biggest micro-transaction corruption I've ever seen in a major console release. I got far more enjoyment out of NBA Live 18's career mode even though it was far more bare bones and the gameplay wasn't as good. It was just way more laid back and to the point.

I just want two minute quarters with easy opponents I can blast through for 15 minutes when I want to unwind and watch numbers go up.
I'm waiting until Black Friday to buy it this year after how bad 2k18 was but from what I've seen it's about the same. And playing short quarters on easy difficulties will of course make it take even longer

Here's a fun fact: They used to start you off at around 75. Alex started the game with 100,000 extra VC and is 77

Finished Wandersong

It was a pretty good game that had a lot of fun gameplay and narrative twists.

There's a real contender for Best Character and Best Moment in this.

Phew, hell of a 2 days or so with traveling and all. Now just updating my paperwork on this side of the world so that my visa is up to date throughout. In my down time I managed to catch up on all the #content and also working on the new thread as we speak. Spider-Man is waiting for me and I got Donut County on PS4 a couple of minutes ago. Looking forward to diving into these two along with Fist of the North Star + Mega Man 11 this week!
  • Six Crazy Frights was great but I am not a fan of jump scares in any medium. Fuck me up in another way pls.
  • If there is anything the Assassin's Creed Odyssey stream told me, it's that I most definitely do not want to play AC. I'd rather stick with achieving 100% in Origin if I want my AC fix(which at the moment I absolutely don't).
  • Jeff Gerstmann's Pro Skater I feel is a strong first half and middling second half and that is probably due to the length. I think the focus on beating the entire game in one video can be a good and bad thing but I would definitely settle for going through everything the game has to offer while hearing Jeff talk about stories relating to said game and what the game more or less meant to him at the time it released. No need to finish the game but I commend the effort.
  • When it comes to Ben's Lens, I can tell you that empty offices are definitely a lot of fun.
  • Thanks to Vinny, I definitely felt Dan was there during Blue Bombing 6 - part 03
  • I don't know what to make of this NBA 2K19 QL other than "it looks like a human".
  • DANSWERS IS BACK(sort of) AND IT'S GREAT. It's fascinating to see just how far both DD's came when you think about when Danswers started.

But Pro skater was one of the most fun things ever since Mass Alex started.

I LOVED it when Ben started singing along with the songs that really meant a lot to me I did that 100% with THPS 1-THUG2.

I thought the THPS stream was great. It got a little dicey when Jeff was struggling in that competition in the middle and Ben was sitting in silence (so as not to distract him), but I thought the rest was enjoyable. Based on the earlier comments in this thread I almost expected Brad and Ben to sit there in silence the majority of the time which wasn't the case at all.

Watching this THPS stream, it had a lull in the middle but it really picked up after that competition and the return of a refreshed Brad.

Why do I feel like Wandersong is going to be my Yoku's Island Express*?

*a game one user ends up being a cheerleader for in Giant Bomb Era much to everyone's dismay
