Can they just pay Adam Driver to be a regular cast member? I'm shocked at how good his comedic acting is. He nailed it tonight.

Let me clarify: everything aside from the opening does. It's like they spent all their time working out the intro and then gave up the rest of the sketches. The oil baron sketch was the funniest thing all night, and everything else was varying degrees of meh or just outright bad.
That's not even to mention the Kanye stuff.
I literally can't believe that. I don't know how anybody could possibly not do better than whatever the hell those performances were.
The show normally only has 2 music segments. Kanye must have demanded three, but they only gave him three with the condition that all the songs be short (and that the third song should come at the end of the show). The first two songs he did felt like they were barely 3 minutes......and obviously they chopped the shit out of the last song.
A couple years ago I remember a new female cast member disappearing after her first season presumably cuz she let one f-Bomb slip.
The show has to end on time. That's the deal with a live show, if something goes long, something else is gonna get be nixed or cut short. The show goes off the air abruptly during the credits like 90% of the time.

Usually they at least get to the end of the closing credits, don't they? Honestly I guess I don't watch the live SNL broadcasts enough to say.
I'm not sure why they're at such an obligation to cut the feed at 1AM sharp. Affiliates are only going to be airing infomercials and trash at this hour, and other live events (awards shows, sporting events) are generally allowed to run past their time slot.
Mine played for quite a while and I didn't see that. I got through the entire credit roll.
She's more famous now than any current cast member besides Kate McKinnon, so I guess it worked out for her.
