It's going to be devastating.

Joe Biden, if nominated, will be the subject of sexual harassment and assault allegations because of the way he interacts with women.

I liked Joe and his contributions to the Obama presidency, but Democrats should discourage him from running, and not vote for him if he does. It's not what the country or party needs in 2020.

He's not going to run and I doubt he will have any charges or allegations.

He's not running.

What allegations (hypothetical or otherwise) are you referring to?

Maybe not outright allegations, but people would start paying a lot more attention to these pictures of him and there are A LOT of them.

The Anita Hill hearings alone will sink him in the current climate.

Obama already called him and told him not to run.

"I know it would be funny to yell at him, but you'd lose."

Not a chance he's running in the #metoo era now that the Anita Hill thing is back in the spotlight.

He's not running for president, OP.

He's not running.

What allegations (hypothetical or otherwise) are you referring to?

There is no reason to think he'll be running.

He's not going to run and I doubt he will have any charges or allegations.

He did not say he wasn't going to run guys... He may not, but with Hillary out of the picture, I do not doubt that he see an opportunity.

He needs to stay away from running and I hope he does, because he is the worst president (aside from a Republican) U.S could get right now. He is centrist, attacks the youth, and repeatedly calls for compromise at a time when partisan politics is just going to get worse.

EDIT: I do think the #metoo era would lessen the chances of him running.

What are you basing on this on? Tales from your ass?

Anyone who pays even a little bit attention to politics and Joe Biden knows exactly what he means. Biden has a ridiculous amount of photos of him being a sleazeball towards women. If you mean the presidential run, see my response to those guys above your quote.

I don't think he's running and I don't think he would win if he ran, but I actually do agree this would be a problem if he got the nom. Not that I suspect he's been involved in some Kavanaugh-esque shit, but the dude is fuckin grabby and some of those videos play real bad. He is a grabby-ass dude.

This thread is a farce. Joe Biden is not running for president in 2020.

Post any article quoting him within the last year unequivocally saying he is and I'll quit pointing out how this kind of nonsense speculation is pointless.

I pay plenty of attention to politics and am well aware along with anybody else paying attention that he lacks the support within his own party needed to even mount a worthy primary challenge. Even he knows this. His name appears on lists of future contenders along with half the other names as padding to keep the article from being four paragraphs long. His running is about as impending as Newt Gingrich taking another stab at the general.

Joe Biden strikes me as the kind of guy who understands quite clearly that he serves his party and its agenda far better as a retired elder statesman surrogate boosting the next generation of leaders and not making an ass of himself wasting donor dollars in some bid for pundit relevance.

It's okay to think he's not running, but as someone who's so assertive you should know that no one who's planning to run for president announces at this point - it's not good timing and you avoid FEC reporting by waiting to announce.

Biden's handling of the Anita Hil vs Clarence Thomasl hearing leads me to believe that he is the wrong man for the nomination in this moment in history.

I thought that maybe people would get past it but now after the Ford vs Kavanaugh hearing, nah man , you guys need new blood

i don't think he'll make it through the primary after we actually held franken to the standards we want to see in the world. Dem primary voters will shut him down based on the creepy uncle joe vibes.

It's okay to live in a gadfly fantasyland, but you haven't actually put forward any potential rationale for him getting in the race, at all. Were you asleep the last time he had a wide open opportunity to ruin the overwhelming will of the party, buttressed by the dying wish of his beloved eldest son, and still decided not to let his ego get in the way?

Let me emphasize, I AM AGREEING WITH YOU THAT HE HAS ABSURD LIABILITIES OUTSIDE OF HIS AGE, PAST BEHAVIOR AROUND WOMEN, AND BEING AN ICON OF THE LAST 40 YEARS OF LIBERAL BRANDING THAT THE BASE OF THE PARTY IS STEADILY MOVING AWAY FROM.

He. Is. Not. Running.

Michael Avenatti has been more bullish about his 2020 prospects than Biden. You might as well be telling Democrats to watch out for the dreaded political pitfall of Aaron Sorkin drawing real energy and attention from the logical contenders of the next general cycle.

He won't make it that far if he does. He was considering in 2016 until his son died, right? That probably would've been his best shot.
