This is a perfect response because David Cage's skill as a game/movie maker is roughly equivalent to sports trash like SAS/Skip.
I mean it's the point, they're literally fake laughing. It's not supposed to be real lolI remember it being massively cringe-worthy when FFX first came out, long before it became a meme. It is legitimately terrible, and everyone who defends it should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
It's my face too.
It is. The whole series is one big innuendo.
Every single one I watch a cutscene from this game, I wanna play it less. Was the first game like this? It sure as hell didn't seem to be.

I've played many JRPG's, and XC 2 scene takes the top spot along with Star Ocean 4 in its entirety.Guys, you can cringe as much as you want at that scene of the bed in XC2, but to say it is the CRIGIEST scene you ever saw in a video game?
You can find it distasteful, unfunny, cliche, cringe... But it's a exaggeration to say it's the cringiest scene you ever seen. Or this isn't he first game you ever played.
When you have low standards, I guess it isn't cringey.Guys, you can cringe as much as you want at that scene of the bed in XC2, but to say it is the CRIGIEST scene you ever saw in a video game?

watch less animeSeriously, this is the cringiest cutscene you EVER saw in video games?
Omg Xenoblade 2 haters are incredible.
It's a simple infantile humorous scene

The scene in God of War whenKratos goes to retrieve his blades and sees Athena, she's supposed to be dead, don't bring her back for "cool" effect.
we'd have solved world hunger by now if people took issues as seriously as they take video games on the internetNo, it wasn't. It had some standard anime sci-fi tropes in the overall story but it did not have this garbage harem anime nonsense with "jokes" that were already played out in the early '80s. Rarely have I ever seen a series crater in quality the way Xenoblade has. Worst of all, XC2 sold well in comparison to the other two, because it was released on a successful system in its prime, not as a store exclusive at the end of the Wii's life or released on a system going down in flames, so this is probably what the series is going to be from now on. It's criminal. The fact that there are people defending this putrid horseshit in this thread is almost as embarrassing as XC2 itself.
I wish people who inexplicably defend that scene would stop thinking this is some kind of dramatic revelation or useful counterargument. Everyone who points out that scene as terrible knows this. Yes, it's the character fake laughing. It's terrible fake laughing. The whole scene is badly directed and badly acted, even when taken as what it's supposed to be. It's a bad, embarrassing scene from concept to execution and everything in between.
You're right. However, XC2 is by far the most cringe inducing game I've ever played when taken as a whole. I dont usually care what games my wife sees me play, but I had to turn that shit can off when she came in the room. After 5-10 hours I couldn't take it anymore and stopped playing.Guys, you can cringe as much as you want at that scene of the bed in XC2, but to say it is the CRIGIEST scene you ever saw in a video game?

However, is it just me or do all the voice actors sounds utterly mismatched with their roles?
Those physics, though...
And while we're at it, I'll post the fixed version:
I'm shocked that there are very little xenoblade 2 representation in here.
Very sad how Japan gets mocked for the creepy shit in their media. We should be more tolerant of it since apparently it's inherent to their culture and they just can't help it, right. This thread basicaly became "lol, japan". Ok, guys, people in another culture think different of you, big surprise. I'm sure that make fun of that will surely make them really welcome in bringing their games for this side. And people wonder why so many localizations efforts choose to simple cut content.
Yeah, era is embarrassingly obsessed with hating it. Most if the people that liked it have moved on, but almost two years later the haters are still chugging away.I would say I cringe more every time the Xeno2 hate shows up.
As for video games, anyone where there a US flag prominently displayed along with any kind of cheap patriotic crap going on... Cringe to 1,000,000%
Omfg wow, that takes all the awfulness of a badly written, badly dubbed anime and just makes it even worse.
Also, can games please stop having characters who have random British (and sometimes American) regional accents? It's so contrived and weird. It's like the video game version of an Englishman and Irishman and a Scotsman walk into a bar...
As someone with a regional accent, it is nice to hear these in games, but not as arbitrary markers of difference between characters. I mean, they're basically used to make up for shit voice acting, so the characterisation is supposedly portrayed by the accent alone rather than any acting skill.
