Yeah, i knew you'd say that. Pretty shameful of Sony to turn the servers off so soon (or at all). Buy I mean it's still a very recent game to call dead. It's like saying Horizon is a dead series.
Yes I miss that. I see you have a Fire Emblem avatar, it's a great series too... but I couldn't stomach the story in those games. So melodramatic. I just wanted the gameplay without any kind of baggage.
This reminds me, I need to get Into the Breach.

I'd like to add Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn. I wanted another game of that caliber. Jeremy Soule needs to be a part of it too, his music is amazing.
Suikoden V. Okay not the best but it was a return for the series after the dissapointing Suikoden 4.
Baten Kaitos
The first Baten Kaitos was a solid JRPG. The second game, Baten Kaitos Origins? One of the best damn JRPGs I've ever played, and they never made another installment after it. There were talks about a DS game but nothing ever came of it.

And I'm taking a shot in the dark without doing much research here, but how about Lufia?
This one's a bit tricky since some more recent releases are retellings of the story of previous entries in the franchise, so I'm unsure as to how to treat e.g. the DS release since it's a re-release of the original second SNES game, despite the change in game mechanics (turn based to action RPG, 2D to 3D). Also, the last game that wasn't a retelling, Lufia: The Ruins of Lore on GBA, is designated a Gaiden (sidestory) entry and I'm unsure how that counts. Still, either the GBA or the DS entry had solid reviews.
Before that we had the GBC The Legend Returns which seems to have been the only somewhat bad entry. So that'd be a strike against my submission if we were to discard these two last entries.

Tierkreis sucked though (and I never played the PSP game, which is the actual last release).

Vampire Savior wasn't actually the last entry though. Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2 were released afterwards (until the PS2 collection, they had only been released in the arcades though)
Tyranny, had great potential then fizzled out to nothing. DLC was lame and had barely any content.
