I don't expect 5 more reps. However I won't rule out the possibility of repless stages either.
Every time a magazine or media has made a mistake, Nintendo always corrects them on social media or some form as far as I can remember.

I don't really know what the last two would be. I don't think they'd be for series without new reps, because why hold them back?
And I actually believe Ken's stage would get in with Ken. That feels like a Sakurai thing to do.

Incineroar looks like a devientart OC came to life and tried to look like a wwe wrestler.
We have a MonHun stage in at least Spirits Mode w/ no MonHun character announced. That stage could probably be in Multiplayer (but with actual level design than a flat arena)
I'm hoping for a DKCTF stage because it'd be nice to have a new snow themed level.

Yoshi's Crafted World can be a stage. They got rid of Woolly World.

Yup, we are almost two months away from the release date so hopefully we would get something juicy soon so it would keep our train chugging with small amount of energies!
I do remember people being more shocked there was another guy than being hyped over who he was. Honestly it was a pretty shocking reveal I can see why people would be excited even if they weren't familiar with the character especially when Simon was leaked
Yup, he would be a perfect fit for smash. Including him might even open up the door for a W101 switch port actually selling decently.
Honestly a demo would let the hype train go on full power. It wouldn't reveal anything and it would get people to talk about the game
A demo could be the worst thing they could put out thanks to data mining.

I mean that's the likely scenario anyways. There's only a few left to go so I think a Direct would cover all of that.
If they put out the demo like November 15 or something I imagine we would have everyone revealed by then, at most they might uncover some unrevealed bosses or something.

The next Direct is likely going to have a Mii Costume showcase since we haven't gotten one yet. I expect Creeper / Steve heads to be the Geno-esque special surprise, leading into a stage reveal.
I don't particularly trust info from sources unrelated to Smash, since its possible the stuff they see is misunderstood along the way. Hell even Vergeben's own sources confused Isabelle for an echo at first, and we don't know the context behind that.

Minecraft Wii U selling over 900k, in Japan, within 6 months, is insanity.
Because 3rd party side is where the most surprises will be.
Rumors have been pointing towards Incineroar being the last Nintendo newcomer in the game, and for DLC I don't think this community has any hope for a Nintendo character other than Spring Man or Rex.
This is jumping a bit too ahead, is it? We don't even know how DLC will be distributed this time.
If we got a Microsoft rep at all, Steve would be priority. Minecraft is bigger and more influential than Banjo-Kazooie ever was, despite wanting the latter myself. With a lot of third parties getting 2+ reps, though, I feel like one or the other could be reserved for DLC (Banjo would probably make the most sense in this regard, in terms of sales). Sakurai's feelings on Minecraft sort of solidify some bit of representation, however much that may be.

Im in the camp that Steve is unlikely simply because he isnt the appeal of Minecraft. A stage checks all the boxes of what makes Minecraft a great game. Its like asking for a tetrimino character instead of a Tetris stage.
We got Mega Man before Sakurai touched other Capcom franchises.
He's also fully aware of how desired Banjo is and the roster so far has shifted to fan favorites. Not to mention Banjo's inherent connection to Nintendo would make him king in that regard.
Sakurai does like to have Smash celebrate Gaming history but it will go for the Nintendo centric characters first. Besides I think Steve would be a better DLC candidate
I think Steve would be a lame addition, personally. I was there for the Minecraft phenomenon. Plenty of connections and memories, but zero connection to Steve as I was a blocky ass Meta Knight. For me I already have my Minecraft rep.
I agree that DLC is hard to predict, but I was very let down by how Smash 4's DLC handled Nintendo characters.
I think Smash 4 was just in a different situation. Now that we have a Smash game on a very successful hardware with very successful software sales, I'd imagine they can a bigger budget for DLC and no veterans to take up development time since they're all in the base game now.
PLUS, there is a possibility they could do something like Season Pass or whatever to even allow content that wouldn't sell on its own (like ATs). I don't feel Sakurai is gonna repeat the same things he has done.

I don't think Doomguy would exactly fit in Smash without being gimped off the gore stuff and I feel he's such an unlikely fighter. Too much going against him so IDK...
