If you run in quality mode then you will get all the enhanced effects. The game will render at 4K and your console will supersample to 1080p so you will get the cleanest image possible. But it will run at 30FPS obviously. If you run in performance mode you get 60FPS obviously with the effects dialled down.

My x is ready. Should play some fh3 to prepare.

I can't wait for ultimate edition and to lose track of time playing Horizon 4

A few effects will be missing or reduced in the 60fps mode, but I bet if you didn't have them pointed out you'd never notice.

Horizon has turned into my favourite game series. Such well crafted entries every time. I'm excited to try out multiplayer too - it wasn't something I did at all with the others but the ease and accessibility make it something I don't want to pass up on. Can't wait till tomorrow night!

I've never pre-loaded an Xbox game, do they generally unlock at 9PM PT the night before like PS4 games do (meaning, can I play the Ultimate Edition tomorrow night)?

So I still have one question....

If you play online you will get a new season on weekly basis, right? But what if you go offline in the game, back to singleplayer? Is there a menu where we can choose seasons ourselves?

Xbox games release at 12am local time of the region you purchase the game from.

Haven't played a Forza game in the last couple years. Is making art on your cars still in?

Yes, but only if you purchase it. Not for Game Pass subscribers.

Great OT, though 50MB+ of GIF is a bit heavy to load.

Usually US release time is 12 am EST for everybody. So yeah that means abit earlier more west.

I'd imagine the 2nd, since it's not like you'll get all the DLC that comes with the Ultimate Edition on Gamepass too.

Can't wait until Friday. I have a 4K HDR tv and an X, but I'm so happy that it runs well on PC that I might actually play it there with my GSYNC monitor.

Man, my pre-load was stuck at 52% after downloading over a day because my internet speed is more than poor... After 3 hours I'm at 3% now. Hopefully I can get the download done until friday...

so how does it work the time zones? does it get unlocked for everyone at the same time?

I'm excited for the game but that official launch trailer showing Formula Drift cars drifting on dirt was a big red flag for me in how they're treating drifting this time around.

We've been asking for better drifting roads for years now, and they seem intent on making any piece of interesting road that can be used for drifting/touge in dirt/gravel instead of pavement.

Can't wait. Horizon 2 is what I bought my Xbox for and ever since this series has come to PC my appreciation for it has grown that much more. I finally ran the demo this morning and it looks beautiful in 21:9.
