I'm in for whatever it is, even if I hope that it is a third Nanostray game. Series was a ton of fun on DS.
I hope they're working on a Nintendo franchise. Nintendo has way too many franchises that need developers.
Am I a bad person for wanting Jett Rocket III? Cause I want a Jett Rocket that is a little more ambitious and a lot less generic. Or in general something that isn't a racer. Shit, give me a Shinen Character Action game.
I actually would really like that about now. Whatever it is I can't wait to see it.
They've made a lot of games other than racing games. Art of Balance, Nanostray, Nano Assault Neo, Jett Rocket, etc.
That's a ton of genres, Puzzle, Racing, Shooters, 3D Platformer. Very talented developer.

I don't believe they have expressed interest in using one of Nintendo's IPs. Would be interesting to see what they could do with, say, Excitebike.

Nope, just more of the 3D stuff from II but way more refined. If it has to be something entirely different, then I am still sticking with character action. Well not character action as in DMC or Bayonetta, I mean something more typical to a 3D Hack and Slash, but not exactly that either. Like I can see them doing something similar to Maximo or what not.
Just read this part. It will be a brand new game. Nothing they've made before. Don't expect something similar to what they've done. They could be making some RPG game for all we know.

So if we disqualify anything they have done then its either:
An FPS/TPS
A Fighting Game
A World Builder
A Zelda Clone
A 2D or 3D Metroidvania
A DDR revival
will you be able to handle it if it's an excite game?
i doubt it's anything from nintendo, they don't usually let their partners announce or tease the games. this is likely something owned, made and published by shin'en

Would be nice because they did some graphically impressive things on WiiWare and the 3DS with Jett Rocket I and II. They would need to find a better level designer tho.
For real, it's not even close. It also makes no sense to have them work on an IP like that when they are such a tiny team.
Those are some pretty good genres I would say. I don't really care for racing so I'm glad it won't be that. Fighting I won't care for their so I hope it's one of the other genres
i wish they would expand cuz their tech wizardry could lead to some amazing looking, bigger games if they had the staff to create more substantial experiences.

I played it earlier this year after not playing for awhile. TREE RUNS, MAN!! Sooooo EXCITE!
Well it could be one of those. Or it could be a roguelike procedurally generated Hellscape. Hopefully anything but that.
I wish they would just become friends with Julian Eggebrecht and the rest of the Ex-Factor 5 members and form a new team to make indie games that are squeezing everything out of existing Nintendo hardware or make badass PS4/Xbone ports for Switch that would just blow the others (e.g. Panic button's efforts) away in all regards. Shinen and Factor 5 have the same spirit, fun and somehow "arcade" like games that are technically and visually very advanced. And they are both from Germany.

Wow, after reading that interview they did and their tease that it's something brand new, I'm really interested to see what it turns out to be. They've got the tech department on point, so I'd say they're only limited by time & money resources, so I'm not expecting something like an RPG that's huge in scope.
But a TPS could be a great addition to the Switch's line-up.
